my car runs! now about some extra wires left over :)
ok it was great the car cranked up right away, ran weird but we then discovered the TPS was mounted backwards giving a negative throttle resoponse when we gave it gas. Do I need to flip the TPS to give the correct reading or can I change the leads on the sensor so it reads properly. I only ask this because I already made a sweet bracket for it.
Ok now I have 3 unconnected wires on my S4 2nd gen. A coolant temp sensor on the top of the water housing neck, right next to the thermostat. Do i need to connect this some how to the gauge cluster for coolant temp readings? I already connected the other coolant temp sensor on the back of the housing to haltech.
On the driver side of the engine right next to the oil filter is two sensors. I connected the oil pressure sender with the slide on connector. Now I have one sensor on the top edge of the block that has oil built up around it and one more sensor a bit lower down and near the back of the block. What are these and do they need to be hooked up to haltech?
other than that I need to get rid of the buzzer going off when the key is in, but that may be due to me not connecting the idiot cluster on the dash.
but it runs and revs great!

TPS only goes one way i think.. if you installed it backwards and forced the TPS to turn then you probably broke it already. Im using an aftermarket water temp gauge so im not much help on this area. Those 2 other sensors below the oil filter do not hook up to the haltech..as for the buzzer make sure the water level sensor on top of the radiator is connected..

yes the coolant sensor on the top is plugged in.
The TPS was supplied by haltech and it rotates freely in any direction, so im sure its ok. we manually rotated in with a screwdriver and it read a postive throttle input.
those other two sensors I know dont hook up to haltech but do they need to be plugged into anything? there wherent any connectors on the CPU side.

No, the TPS only rotates in one direction, you can however install it on one side or another depending on your throttles rotation, if you get a 100-0 and not 0-100 you connected the leads backwards, reverse them so it reads from 0 to 100 (or 0-5v)

my haltech tps can rotate in both directions. I did get it used, but either way it does show a reading. say rotation clockwise makes it read "backwards throttle movement" and rotation it forward it gives a input value of 11 or 12.
Does that seem right setting idle at 0 and full throttle gives a value of 11 or 12?
we where able to manually adjust it and when the throttle input screen was up we could go from 100% to 50% to any percentage we wanted to.
I had a feeling the TPS might have been broken since it rotates in both directions, but it still reads inputed value.
There are only three wires, Ground, Signal, 5v. Would I switch the 5V and the Signal wires??
BTW I have the TPS mounted on the back of the TB.

one last question guys. The laptop we are using is a Windows 2000 version.
We can get online and load up maps just fine, but it is unbelievable slow. Loading a new map takes 5-6 min and when adjusting the fuel/timing it is about 30-40 sec to adjust it.
for example I want to lead out idle 1000 rpms in vaccumm I press the button 3 times for three steps lower on the bar graph and then nothing happens, each bar from -30mmHg to 0(atm pressure) flashes and then it makes one bar adjust, then it goes through that cycle two more time to make a total of three adjustments.
Im assuming Haltech should run faster than this.
Can i just boot the computer up in DOS and make the fuel corrections from there?
