What a downshift looks like inside of a 13brew
I bought a RX-7 FD 13brew rotary engine for $250 for spare parts. The owner said the engine has been sitting for 3-4 years and apparently lost power on both of the rotors after downshifting to 2nd. Did I made a good decision!?
On the video you can see the steps of how to teardown or disassemble the 13b engine but I don't explain the process. So like always, if you have any question don't hesitate to contact me!

the first race car i built ever (this was in like 1996? actually maybe it was the second car?) the guy tried to shift to 4th and got 2nd, it pegged the 12k memory tach.
it broke the stat gears, and it still rank ok, but didn't sound very good!

In my experience the synchronizers basically do nothing useful on upshifts when the engine is over 7-8k or so. Downshifting to the wrong gear puts even more stress on it as far as RPM change is concerned..

not at all, in mine the guy did a money shift, exceeded 12k rpms, and the engine was wounded, but not dead. if he had only hit 10k, it probably wouldn't have hurt anything. these engines are TOUGH
