Looking into possibly getting a radar/laser detector.

What's a good one? Any suggestions?

Get the Valentine 1. I have it and I love it, personally I think it’s the best one you can buy. The range on the V1 is absolutely incredible.

V1s are $400 and worth every penny and then some.

The only radar/laser detector anyone has cared enough about to list on the Northstar Vendor Feedback Page.

Valentine 1 was best performer in Car and Driver's review of radar detectors. It was posted on the forum a while back, but I couldn't find it.

Yeah from what I can remember V1 pretty much kicked all the other radar detectors asses.

My friend has a Escort 8500. Very solid. Usually rated very highly by a variety of sources such as eopinions.com and radartest.com Plus, it's a tad cheaper ($300 vs. $400)

My friend has a V1 and its freakin amazing. He says it was worth the money.

V1 nothing comes close, and the directional arrows pay for themselves over and over again.
