why not take a mold and then sell it?

A member PMed me wanting to buy them, he put a deposit down and they are his. I cant ship them til the 26th, so that is why they originally were going to be for sale on that date.

It is not as simple as just making a mold, you have to do that, source lights, design new brackets. It is a huge project and I dont have the time and Ramy is working 100 hours+ at the hospital and has other projects as well.

Again, I apologize, but nothing is going to change. Lots of other good lighting options available.

 

Well, whoever the buyer is, if he's interested in making JUST the mold, and in the process making JUST a bunch of money, please encourage his to do so. I have the time to source lights and fabricate brackets, as I'm sure a few other people do.

Already talked to Ken at shine and he did not want to take on the project. Let me talk to the buyer about the mold.

I did not know you guys were THAT serious about the lights, let me talk to a couple of people and I will see what I can do.

How much did you sell them for? Unless it's some ridiculous amount, I would've paid you more. I didn't know you were even trying to sell these outright. Please reconsider!

I also throw out there that I would be MUCH more interested i JUST getting the molded covers. Being the arrogant one that i can be... I'd rather handle my own brackets and light sourcing anyway.

Okay guys, just a little update. They have been SOLD to another member on this forum. I believe his intentions are to replicate these, so they will be available in the near future.

Unfortunately I can not provide any further details as I do not own them anymore and nor am I in talks with anyone to replicate them, as they have been sold.

If anything changes I will let you guys know.

I would also like to make it VERY clear that this deal has NO implications on Ramy what-so-ever, it was for personal financial reasons that I decided to sell these out-right. Ramy is a stand-up guy and I would never have any hesitation buying or doing business with him, ever.

Any confirmation of the outcome? Will the housings be replicated at least?

Just wondering if any "official" word had surfaced yet.

These will be replicated. I won't post more information within this thread as it doesn't relate to the original vendor. I'll post details when the time comes.

 

I apologize for contributing to the confusion, but these are being replicated. Ramy and I will be reproducing these headlights and I'll be posting up GB details and updates within a new thread. Those of you who are still interested, please keep an eye out within this section for it. Thanks!

 

Awesome, will the larger light accept H4 bulbs?

 

Is there a particular time frame? I need just the FG housings; can you sell just that? I've already started on a similar project, and if I can source the housing (even if I have to modify it for my needs), it would make my life easier.
