I'd like to get in on the discount for helping with the install pics and info. Have car and camera ready! I'll be modifying my Shineautoproject/Feed ver 2R front bumper for the light housings.

I'm working on the backend here and to be honest, I got busy over this weekend and didn't have a chance to come on here and post what I intended to. I'm working on the backend to finalize all the lighting details.

I've already determined who will be getting the first couple sets and spoken with those people so we're all set in that regard. I appreciate all the interest though. I'm keeping it local so I can be involved/assist with the process as needed.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have some definitive information regarding the lenses and their cost this week. I also fully expect to finalize a decision on the lighting that will be used this week as well.

Finally, I apologize...additional pictures will be delayed a few days as I need to sort through everything and put them together. I'll get these up as soon as I can.

Thanks,
-Riz

Str8ryd... is it possible to purchase just the right frame to do a cold intake setup? can it be cut to fit the stock bumper?

Think alot of guys would like this same setup..

Thanks

I was initially interested in this light from the get go as indicated in page two, But have decided not to cut my 1900.00 Authentic feed bumper.. I will however buy a copy for my next FD in the future..

^I'm going to PM you tomorrow to discuss this further. I sort of understand what you're looking to do, but might need a bit of clarity. Also, we are working on something very interesting for people who are looking to have the headlight be a cold air intake duct.

I gathered and wanted to consolidate the pictures I've found including Pure's car with these lights installed. Figured people might like to see what we've been working hard to perfect, update and ultimately produce.

Keep in mind, the originals did have their own issues...slight gaps in fitment and poorly designed headlight brackets. We've redone several things to these lights to not only modernize them, but also improve quality in every aspect. I will disclose everything we've done to these lights once we are ready for full scale production.

Now, on to a few pictures that I had taken of our own kit. I had already installed these on my 7 to verify fitment and was very pleased that they fit better than the originals.

Finally, as to the UPDATE:

We have decided on the lighting that we'll be going with. It'll be HELLA lighting for both the outter and inner lights. The inner lights will be a 90mm hi/low beam. We won't be providing a "true" HID option off the bat because in order to do it properly we will need to redo the buckets. We have plans for this in the future, but not atm. It won't be difficult to retrofit HID's though, if you so please. I actually plan on doing this myself with these lights once installed and would be willing to do it on a case-by-case basis for any interested party.

Finally, if everything stays on track, within a few weeks we'll have the first kit test-fitted/installed within a friends FD. I will extensively document the process and provide it to any/all customers purchasing this kit.

I look forward to providing additional good news very shortly.

Thanks,
-Rizwan

ya know, as much as I like these, something's just off IMO, its nothing against your product, and there was a time when I definitely would've bought them, but I just don't think they're for me anymore. Best of luck and who knows, maybe I'll change my mind.

Man, all this commotion over the original light kit I bought waaaay back in 2002 and sold to PureRX7? At least it's being put to good use and not rotting in my closet like it did for years. I never thought that Run Racing was about to go out of business shortly after I got them.

If you could overlay the housings in twill weave carbon fiber, I might just be in.

I'll be doing an update tonight. The first completed kit is being installed in a local FD owners 7. We'll be documenting the install and details as the installation progresses.

Well, technically we do, but we wanted to do the install first just to ensure 100% that there are no issues. I highly doubt there will be, but we prefer to be thorough.

I would be willing to sell sets as of now IF you're okay with us having no liability. Otherwise, I'd recommend waiting.

Sorry for not updating yesterday, but I just heard from the fabricator today so will do so tonight.

Will there be a substantially lower group buy price offered or is $600 set in stone- just for the redesigned/improved fiberglass? I don't have a problem waiting or paying for quality. Just want the best deal before I choose your version or your competitor's. His price is much lower and I'm waiting to see the differences in quality before I decide. What do you see wrong with the original design that would warrant changes to accommodate h.i.d. lighting? I really do appreciate your efforts, been waiting for years on you for these.

I would wait for these, based on the other company's history of quality I wouldn't buy from them.

Received another update from the fabricator. I'll do my best to relay that information later tonight.

My local friend is getting started with the bodywork this weekend and I anticipate starting to post updated pictures of the actual installation, etc. in the next few weeks.

Rx72NR:
I'll address all your questions tonight with the update. Thanks.
