Why did you decide to go with the barrel throttle instead of slide throttle? The machining look like it was a lot of work. The rotary avaition guys have been using the slide throttle for some time now and Racing Beat has used them in the past.

Slide throttles are considered incompatible with forced induction because as the plate is closing the pressure differential causes binding.
You can try to get fancy with ball or needle bearings on the sliding surfaces, but it just has been accepted as a bad idea in the forced induction world.

MVS runs/ran them on their turbo 20b with some success, though I haven't heard of any updates or longevity of this car. I've always wondered about the slide throttle setup on their car for the same reasons.

The primary injectors actually are at a 60 degree angle, it just doesn't look that way in the pics because they are on the inside of the radius. It's much more visible in a straight-on picture. I couldn't put more of an angle on them and still fit the rail inside the radius. I'm not worried about atomization, because like Scathcart said, the stockers are nearly perpendicular to the intake runner.
As for the throttle bodies, my original plan was to go with slide throttles, but then Chris Ludwig suggested looking into rotary barrel throttle bodies. I thought "Damn! that would be even cooler!", so that's my reasoning behind those...
The turbine is very much a T6...

To the OP, I have a few questions on your intake. I read the thread a couple months ago, but didnt remember seeing everything explained. What direction are the barrels rotating? I work at a shop that makes methanol ITBs, mech. fuel injection, and magnesium runners for V8 and I4 sprint car motors. They have done quite a bit of testing in the past. One thing they have noticed is that the direction that the butterflies (or barrels) rotate makes a big difference in drivability a power at part throttle. Obviously, the barrel throttle will outflow a butterfly-type setup at WOT, but the reason the company I work for sticks to b-flys is because part throttle power and control really matter at over 100 miles an hour sideways in the dirt! Anyways, with curved intake runners like yours, the barrels need to rotate towards the curve of the runners. If not, the barrels will be directing air against the curve instead of with it and into the motor. We built a custom setup for a street car a few years back and the guy hooked the linkage up backwards and had the thing opening backwards of how it was designed. At anything other than WOT, it was a nightmare. Sorry for the long-winded post, just thought it might be worth mentioning. Keep up the awesome work. Very few people can do this quality of work.

Dude... I just found and read the whole thread... OMG WTF. Dude this thing is sick. Mad props. Im goin into the USAF so theyll pay for college just so i can get my masters in M.E. And E.E. I could only dream of doin work like this. This thing is gonna run like a raped Ape. BTW if ur up for makin some stuff after ur done with this stage. Let me know. I could use a new t4 manifold.
Again very sweet work dude. And nice placement of ur fasteners and such. Im an ASE master tech and i deff wouldnt mind workin on ur fabbed stuff.
