Nice 1, I'll try and find out some info.

Thats cool, but being in the uk.. and LCA's being so heavy.. improbably going to end up making them myself.. so im looking for tried & tested... Might bite the bullet and get a set over if it proves too much hassle though.

Thats exactly what we were looking to do initially..

IS THAT WHEEL GAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

My roads are aids too. MASSIVE pavement irregularrities from semi trucks displacing the base under the concrete.... The actual "groove" sits about an inch or so lower than the center of the lane..... I might have to "raise" mine. I hope not.

Meng, he just said 18's.

Z0E graphix and epic drifting rules out the fact you have reverse rake. I was going to say Evangelin but close enough....
<-----big robots that blow **** up are rad.

I'm just talking **** for laughs.

Any closer and i think you'd risk busting those dmax fenders all to hell.

What do yall think about a spring rate of 10kg front/ 8kg rear?

Or Rotary-Works 12kg front/ 8kg rear?

The price's are nice, but some of you experienced drifters like 8 kg front/ 6kg rear, or 9kg F/ 7kg R. I know its personal preference, but I'm not good at knowing what is right for me.

lol. its a gloss grey.. essentially a poor mans paint as its straight on ****.. no laquer etc..

anyway this is about setup, not my poor paint lol.

Im finding now that my brake caliper has been hitting the LCA and acting essentially as my bumpstop.. or rahter one of the lower bolts has!!..

anyone else encountered that? Im still searching for the maximum angle and everythign i can think of seems to be coming back to needing to modify the LCA's or wait for JTP to find time between burning falcons to come up with summat at his shop.

i lack the skills myself and as one of maybe 2/3 drifters in teh UK only who drive fc3s's in competition.. theres not much here in terms of homegrown research into the parts.

Holy ****! At this point do you really NEED any more angle? You probably could pitch it in backwards no problem.

hahah if only it was as good as that.

Im aiming for J.T.P angle.. theres a famous shot of him in the FC when it ws in its first green variation (I'll dig it out after work) where the wheels look almost 90degree lol.

It sounds like i have insane lock, but its foulsing on teh LCA's the wheel arch itself, the back wall of the arches and more.. its jsut it rubs through/on that before physically being stopped by the lower bolt on the brakes.

I think my next plan of action is:

- to reduce to 17x8.5's at the front (last year I ran 17x9, i figure 0.5 diff means i can run a 215/40 for further clearance.
- modify the LCA to move the mounting point outwards
- increase camber
- bash the **** out of the arches more untill I can tub them.

if you have s4 lca's just go ahead and mod the ball joints, not the lca itself. Should be easier and work better.

Slide, help this man.

BN sports without stagger merits reverse rake.... ****.

PUt wheels on today, Will take pics so dave, cj and flik can talk ****. I'll fix it though. GOtta droop the front springs and raise the rear a nuthair..... I figured everythign would be gravy putting 205 40's up front on my 9.5's and 205 45's on my 9.5's in the rear. It isn't. The tire stagger looks boss but i still has the "buick with blown rear struts" rake.....

lol i wont talk ****. lol I just decked it til it rubbed then raised till it didnt. not caring about rake atm.. not till I get the new rims/kit end of season. THis season im more interested in just gettin the setup right, experimenting for 2011 car.

I think im running s5 LCA's.. they are all one piece, not split into ttwo bits like i think s4 one are (from memory).

Im gonna cut the ends of my Uras track rods so i can bring the toe in next weekend too. Or at the least get them toe'ing the same.

Has your car ever been on an alignment rack?

As cheap as i am, i dont think that will happen for me any time soon. On the other hand proper toe makes tires last longer and saves money.....

S5 LCA's do not allow you to replace the ball joint (iirc). Advanced auto calls for the whole ******* lower control arm wallet rape replacement. Switch to s4's.

No kidding though. Your best bet would be to get your hands on some s4 lca's and move the knuckle pickup point away from the control arm and see what that does for ya. It's the cheapest thing you could do. It's not like you DONT have shop access but i dunno how the fc supply is over in the uk...... If i still had my parts car, i would have been hooked you up.

Is anyone on fc chassis running the 929 brake master/booster upgrade?

PS: no front sway bar FTW. i took that **** off when i swapped racks to run the supernow kit, and was way too lazy to put it back on. honestly i can't notcie a difference, except for when im on the highway. the front end feels like it wanders now. lol maybe i'm just a dumbass.
