so prolly a newb question but how does the modded knuckle make the car feel as far as steering. i figure it makes the wheels change direction faster with less input at the steering wheel, since you arent adding teeth to the rack. also i hear alot of recommendations about not running the modded knuckle if you are just getting into the sport...any opinions here?

The modded knuckles make the car snappier, since steering input is basically amplified, and they are amazing.

BUT they are not something you need if youre just starting out. Its best to improve your car as you learn to use it to its full potential. Knuckles and 350hp wont really make you drive better unless you get how to use them correctly. If you hop into a car you cant handle you tend to actually be a worse driver.

Stock angle is sooo fun anyways... it teaches you to gain more speed while drifting because the drift angle is more linear.

angle mods will slow you down if you dont know how to use the extra angle. or when to use it, cause you can throw it into more angle when you need to scrub off speed or come into a clipping point.

everything feels the same for the most part, that is untill you turn the wheel more

hey Justin,
i took ur advice and took off the rear sway and was killing it
at the Vegas Drift event with 3rd gear drifts(loved it),all i need is more angle....
everyone tells me that its not good to take of the sway bar because of
chassis flex and its just harder on the car. And they said I'm not learning right?

so u dont use sways either? can you mod FD spindles?
i think once i get more angle,I will be very competitive

thanks a bunch !!

im sure i have seen modified fd knucks. i run without swaybars as well. the stiff spring rates that come on coilovers these days basically makesany force that the stock sway bar can offer useless.

steve, how far away is your rim lip from the lower control arm?

By "hitting metal" i'm assuming you're hitting the body of the car and not the lca?

I plan on getting 17x9.5 +15 up front some time next week which is why i ask.

hey justin, I just got some wheels for the rear, 17x9 +43, and I know I need to get spacers to flush them out. Question is, do I go with 20 mm? Or 25 mm? I will be running 235 on rear, and tucking.

ALSO, since i'm about 90 percent done with diff/suspension/wheels/tires and exterior **** i'm about to start buying stuff to add power.

I'll need PROPER management since i'm not going with rtek. It wont suit the gt3582 i want to put on.

What do you guys got, why do you like it and how easy was it to set up? Does it support extra injectors? Can it be used to control auxillary injection (water/meth/alk)?

I've seen guys run **** from fcon-v's to microtech lt10 on their cars. I want my engine to be reliable and make respectable power. I know i dont NEED it to drift but i WILL be drifting the car regardless of setup.

I read that as well and then decided to dig a little and found banzai racing sells the kits to make it full pnp on s4 and s5 turbo ecu's which is pretty cool.

No matter what i pick and who tunes it i'm still afraid my poor little high compression engine is going to pop on me but i dont want a stock turbo with a clipped wheel.....
