waiting on twin plate clutch, rear steer elims, and more oil coolers, fans, and cooling mods to deal with back to back runs.

picked up new BN aero, and threw an offer on 18x11j -15 Meisters.

definitely going to miss the S13, but hopefully 2012 makes me look back and consider it a wise choice.

@battle cat:
yea just up front. i kicked out an offer for a pair of 18x11 -15 Meisters. just waiting to see if dude takes it.

going to run mix matched crap for a bit but i've always liked bronze TE's on red cars, and i also miss dish wheels in the rear, so i hope this looks kinda cool for a bit.

i'm pumped on the Neovas. First brand new front pair of tires i ever picked up, and they're Advans....

if i were smart i would buy a full set of Varrstoenns (or however the **** they're spelled) for the rear and have them anodized this color bronze with stickers.
i'm kinda over the full faced cast wheel trip though.

ride height not set or anything. just kinda chillen.

plus i ordered those foresights anyways so i didnt care about the 30mm's anymore. but to my surprise, WHERE THE **** ARE MY FENDERS RHDJapan?!?!

What lights are you using for headlights? Mind posting up some more detailed shots?

Thanks,

The "Best of Vegas" Competition has come and gone. The event was held on the Inside Road Course, as a feeler style event to possibly use it for 2012 in the pro-ams. It was thrown in with the North American Festival of Speed. We got to run the course in between the Time Attack Super Lap Battle.

The competition format was pretty much just 2 judged runs. The best qualifying run was the winner. It was a cool event to just kinda kick back, and not worry about competition, and get to burn 3rd, and 4th gear on a fast/technical road course. Tons of smoke, bumper car action, dirt drops, and 4th gear manji's down the straight at 100mph+

My car was running good, as always, thanks to Steve Singh, and Real World Solutions for the build, and tune. My FC is using the Rotary Aviation 2mm Super Seal Rebuild Kit from Real World Solutions. The new Garret GT35R turbo setup was plenty for the course even only at 8psi on wastegate boost/pump 91 as seen here:

I paired up with my DSTROYR team mate Odi Bakchis and his FD "Rookie of the Year" winning Feal Suspension X Falken Tire X Forged Racing LS1 S14 to do some runs, and get a feel for the course.

Odi kills it. Always.... lol Had a blast driving with him, and as always it makes me push harder and harder to step up - which i like. at one point we were pretty much hot lapping the entire course for about 3-4 laps with Brandon Wicknick in his Drift Spare 1jz S13.

The entire time my car was running 100* which was awesome. it went to about 150* degrees by the last pair of runs we did messing around, and by that time i pretty much killed a new set of Nexen N6000 tires in its full "missile car" fashion.

The N6000 tires felt really good, and by running them back to back for the last few events i've really felt right at home every minute i'm behind the wheel - for the first time in a few events after having been on mix matched used tires. These tires definitely like to do alot of this:

killed some time hanging out with friends, and showing fans my FC, and mounting tires for the qualifying comp. Then everyone was called to grid up and wait for the Super Lap Battle to finish up.

Really lovin' the way my new Volk Racing TE37's felt, and looked on my RX-7. The fresh 235/40/17 Advan Neova's sealed the deal for me when i picked these up.

Also in attendance was a few fellow Vegas Rotary members/friends!
Jason with his cool RX-8 who was killing it!

along with Jordan (roxy8) and his RX-8 daily.

Jorge and his NA FC rocking the rad DCW Roof Spoiler.

Not a member on here, but Tyler Wolfson came out with his Mazdatrix built RHD FD that came all the way from NZ when JT Wharerau owned it. Some may remember it when it looked like this back when it was seen driving with Mad Mike's 20B FD:

It currently looks like this now:

After the comp went down everyone went back out for another session to have some fun. Brandon Wicknick and myself started getting rowdy, and hitting into each other repeatedly for the crowd, and media. (still waiting on footage)
I ended up going back to the pits to once over my car's fluids, and change tires. again.... lol

as i'm looking away we all hear Brandon KILLING IT up the straight away easily going 100mph+ drifting the whole way.

i look back to my car as he's out of site, and everyone starts running towards the grandstand area.

turns out Brandon got too rowdy, or something may have failed, and resulted in this happening....

Turns out he was alright, and the car could be repairable, but he said he's just going to prep one of his spare S13's he has for next year.

while we were waiting for the clean-up they called us back to the drivers meeting to announce the podium finishers of the qualifying contest.

the results were:

1st: Brandon Wicknick - Purple 1jz S13 Coupe
2nd: Buckey Laing - Red 13b-t RX-7 FC
3rd: Gary Ganotisi - Rootbeer SR'd S13 Hatch

Forged Racing Radiator awarded Brandon with a sweet new Radiator for his new build.

Torco USA hooked me up with a full case of their SR-5 Synthetic Racing Oil for my FC.

Gary (the luckiest of us all) got supplied a-lot of photos of him with all the extremely hot models!!! ;p

I will update this with some more cool pictures, and videos as they post. But for now this is all i could find.

I'd like to give credit to Function Theory for all the photos posted in this write-up. Check out their site @ www.functiontheory.com
to check out their full coverage from the event: http://functiontheory.blogspot.com/2...-of-vegas.html

I'd also like to thank my friends, and supporters who are always helping out in some form whether it be lending parts, or helping prep, to just being there to support my efforts on track. couldn't do it without you guys, and i'm thankful for everyone who has made an effort to help me out. <3 ya guys!
