That would be the "one guy you know" with the 20B FC.

Kinda funny that you know him, what he says about me, and what he's building, but can't recall his name.

i heard my name..

so yeah dave knows i can drive so dont let him get you upset. he also knows that the only reason he thinks that i have only been to 3 events like josh is because he has only gone to a handful himself. always as a spectator though, i think i saw him drive one event in a borrowed car but it wasnt anything to write home about. i dont think i missed a single event in 09 in my fc. i only made one event in 10' though because i started my 20b swap at that time. + school and career change and so on.

also dave, azn knows who i am. he was just being a silly little troll. search his sn and "derek" in the search field. he talks about me often. i think its like a man crush or something

2011 i think will be a good year for everyone and i hope to run miller track events as well as vegas pro am and all our regular rmr/miller events.

keep up the good work buckey

i'm unaware if vegas will be bringing back the pro-am series again this year. the owner had issues with securing enough driver spots throughout the year due to everyone "building" their cars. there does seem to be alot of interest now though since everyones cars are running. i'm focusing on the topdrift, and XDC series this year. could really care less if i get licensed or not. i'm going to be pumped to have a built car for once. if it happens, then i hope i drive hard, and not clown myself.

FD longbeach is the coolest looking track. hopefully someday i do get to drive it though.

i hope we all have our cars running, with little issues, and all have a strong year. would be cool to get more tracktime/meet new FC kids around the US.

Thanks man! I was very pleased with how it held up this year... even though it blew at Irwindale, it had alot of track time... the motor was broken in @ XDC Vegas, and aside from its last month of street duties, it lived it's entire life above 5k Rpm @ 12psi.
Major Props to Steve Singh @ Area77 Rotorworks for putting together one seriously competitive block for me. Without him and Chris Brown making the motor solid life would've really sucked.

UPDATES on the build progress:
I ended up buying a new shell. paid for the title to get sent to me, and ended up drilling spot welds/cutting apart my Black 2010 FC's back end damage, and have decided to try to repair it since funding is very low this season. being a privateer is harsh, but where there's a will, there's a way! Funding another Vmount, RollCage, stitch welding the chassis, and painting another car would totally kill my hopes of doing the upgraded turbo/clutch/LSD/Coilovers AND making every XDC stop this season... especially with not having any tire support.

That being said tomorrow, i'm going to rip apart the rest of the backend, and get a bunch of pictures going to help bring this thread back to life!!

i already sectioned the back end off of the shell, to repair the track car. I PLAN on leaving the frame rails from the diff back and cutting out all the sheet metal and tubing it up, and making custom pick-up points for the gas tank (until i get a fuel cell) and Boxing it all in to help cut down the tiresmoke from getting inside the car.

I'm still desperately in need of finding:
Passenger side Door
Turbo manifold for t4 flanged 35r
coilovers (selling mine in the process...again)
BN Aero (not too worried on it yet)
Haltech Sprint RE ECU
shimm my diff so it locks.
better clutch... something good for 370whp-450whp.
and knockoff brides, or cheap priced Sparco seats.

Photos to come tomorrow as i rip into it more. have been super busy moving cars/parts...

I was thinking about doing a v8 swap after my 13b blows. It's only got 7000 miles on the rebuild and I maintain it well, so it will probably be a while.

Sunburn do you have a build thread for your swap??? I don't think I've ever seen a drift specific swap thread.

I'm surprised there aren't any FCs in 'yards down there.

How soon do you need a door Buckey? There are two FCs in 'yards local to me I was going to pull some stuff off of, I can probably get the door itself for cheap cheap, just no affordable way of getting it down to you in Vegas.

you're in utah right??
there are doors down here, but both of them are TBONED on the side i need...

for some reason doors have been sitting around for years, and as soon as i need one, theyre all sold... everyone ive been hitting up that had them sold them. i'm sure a door will come up in a junkyard in the next few weeks. i'm not too worried about it in the next 2-3weeks.

i really want to cut out my door bars, and do a lower Xbar or something so i can keep front interior... bought a **** load of baller S5 interior for the front and really want to use the door panels only because i do want to re-register the car, and take it to meets and whatnot...street sessions, etc.
i wouldn't mind skinning them, but i dont have a closed trailer yet and dont feel like thrashing my car driving through storms and crap with it on the trailer going to XDC events.

I'm not sure what the rules are, but those Knockoff bride seats are fixedback but not FIA approved. The cheapes FIA sparco you can find is the Sparco sprint. I've sat in one before and thought it was actually pretty comfy.

Yep, Northern Utah. I just pulled a Canadian N/A cluster and a door handle from a Turbo-II, and scouted out both rear-ends and driveshafts for myself and a couple other people. The T-II's doors are dimpled and scratched, and the N/A's passenger door has a bit of scratching and one small ding. Pretty straight otherwise. They're both manual window models.

As far as seats, I've got a Sparco Sprint Junior [expired lol, doesn't do me any good] waiting to go into the FC, fits my heavy *** just right.

funny story, i sold them, and ended up working on the customers car a few weeks later and he gave them to me as payment.
so yea i still have them.
i repainted them gold, and polished the ride height collars. i'll post some pics in a few minutes!

i was going to buy ebay camber plates and run them for a bit, but ended up getting a different set for this season.
idk if they are legitimate EBAY or not. i got them from a guy who said he bought them on Ebay. the spring rates are good. (pretty stiff) yet comfortable to street drive also.
i just dont know the brand, and they look like cheaper quality coils like megan, or something.

they were a faded purple anodize, with red springs. idk if they were OLD HKS or what, but i know the spring rates are stiff. no body roll, and surprisingly (if they are old) there still not blown. but then again i never drove into potholes, and jumped anything. whenever i street drove it, i was either doing pulls on the highway, or just cruising.

i should try to get ahold of the guy i got them from a few years ago. i would think the camber plates that he took from these would have some sort of brand stamped or etched into them...

any ideas? they look like EBAY, or just OLD coils. theyre rebuildable..

I think they make KW and JIC coilovers in purple. If it's old and not blown it probably isnt a megan or ebay brand because I don't think they would hold up to the rigors of drift + street + demos + parking lot sessions. I feel they don't have high enough build quality to last. I could be wrong though
