sweet, good info for sure! the availability of e-85 in other states is one of the main reasons why i dont want to mess with it not to mention the fact that it makes my eyes water heavily...
380-450 is plenty i dont want to risk my motor every run. i do like the reliability factor of the stock power levels, and i know it wont stay like that @ 450, but id like to get it as reliable as i can to make through each weekend.
haltech sprint-re is what i'm looking at getting. along with 4x 1000cc injectors. any suggestions on that setup? i feel the secondaries might be a little small, but ID injectors will make me miss XDC Round 1...

sure i could buy a 55gal drum, and fill it up and take it with (HUGE fire hazzard) or i could fill up locally before i go out (more weight/strain on the truck/higher temps)
but even if it weren't for all of that, i still can't stand the smell of it. it makes me sneeze constantly, and makes my eyes water (why i dont know) but its like clockwork.
i dunno. call me old school, but race gas/pump gas just seems easier.... at worse case scenario each race track usually has race gas on tap. if not there's ALWAYS a gas station within a block-10mile radius.
when i show up to drive, i should only be worried about driving, and not stressing on finding e-85... :/

some people prefer straight water, some people prefer straight methanol, but methanol auxiliary injection isn't nearly as much of a knock safety buffer as water is. some people run up to and well beyond 30psi with straight water injection on 91 octane pump fuel, with methanol as a auxiliary injectant i wouldn't push more than about 22-23psi, many people have tried to push further and failed because auxiliary injection is not an accurate injectant as the fuel system fuel injectors are.
i don't really have alot of experience with haltechs as not many of my customers were running them so i can't really comment on the sprint. i haven't heard anything bad about the ID injectors so i wouldn't worry about that, and just about any haltech will be fine, just depends on which options you want/need it to do.

The first pair I welded with 220v gas and the second with 110v flux-core, both wire feed.

I spaced your hopes of national competition, I figured it was staying local, my bad haha.
Nothing wrong with being old-school with fuel. Like you said, tracks usually have race gas on-tap, even if it is a few bucks more than normal.

e-85 is considered pump gas since it's found at hybrid filling stations which has an octane rating of about 97 octane which has a detonation threshhold of ~27psi in rotary applications, C-16 i don't really feel like recalulating but it was around 50psi of boost, methanol has an octane rating around 100 which is good for about 30psi. i don't really run methanol as a straight fuel because it is pretty harsh on fuel system components and only really hardcore drag racers use it as a pump fuel so when i refer to methanol i refer to it as an auxiliary injectant like water injection but methanol burns and allows for more power versus a static knock suppressant like water which doesn't really add noticable power. for the best of both worlds i usually recommend 50%water/50% methanol blend for the auxiliary injection as i have been running it for years without any ill effects.

like you said i don't see myself needing more than 450whp. so i should be good on the 50/50% blend as you mentioned at my power goals.
i really like the E8 but i'm hesitant on buying it used. i don't like the SprintRE because of the lack of adjustability as well as the fact i need to run High Impedance injectors... :/ i think tonight i'm going to dig through some more threads and try to weight the options... ID injectors are pretty steep but the quality seems worth it.

Thieves are everywhere as unfortunate as that is... it sucks, but you just gotta try your best at all times to keep your **** on lock down, and even then it's still at risk.. just gotta hope for the best i guess.
Thanks for the props man! It makes all the photo taking/uploading worth it to know it helps others. that's the main reason why i started it! JTP's advice helped me alot when i was starting so just trying to help out however i can.
you should post more often in here! the T2 will be a fun car when you get it.
blockoff plates, deleted rats-nest, 3" downpipe, straightpipe exhaust, and intake kit will make it rip. score some GSL-SE 680cc injectors for the secondaries, and a wideband, and set the boost to 10psi, and it'll be a rocket.
i miss my early setup for street driving.

i'll need to pick up the inserts to run your rails correct?
looks like ID 2000's are going into the build sheet. better to be safe than sorry by pulling my motor out trying to save $100 on injectors.
Really looking forward to using your fuel rails! quality is top notch for sure!

thanks for the info! i need to get on it, just scared i'd mess it up. i was trying to hire a marketing company to help with stuff like that for the mean time so i can go back to school and learn everything for myself, but they WANT SCRIPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSsssss haha
i would pay someone with experience in doing this to make me a proposal.
anything would help honestly... discounts on tires, discounts on gas to travel... etc.. i've got the drive to go anywhere at anytime, and throw down, just the money aspect is killer... same for everyone else..
