i'm not getting out, i just have to prioritize things right now.... and that chassis was super whored out already.... my diff itself was pushed over like 3 inches at onetime from smashing it at round 3.....

Yeah dude. There are plenty of options out there for budget drifters. Try to get a fresh FC chassis. I don't know about in vegas, but just about everywhere I've seen has tons of 240's sitting around for cheap and you know they're easy to modify. Not saying you should ditch the rotary, but do what you have to, to get back behind that wheel.

my plans are to pick up on a missile S13 with an SR, and immediately after i get it legal build an FC shell, but do it the right way, and i wont be rushed trying to get it ready for an event, cause ill have the 13 for that. so i think with the experience i do have with the prior FC builds i can make one pretty decent chassis. cause in all reality to make it in this sport you do need a running back up car or for sure another caged chassis to make a parts swap in a few nights.
who knows though! i know me, and i'll probably just pick up another FC. i'm too in love with them. i dont feel right driving an s-chassis. i'm just another 240 drifter trying to make it then... lol

Except coming from an FC background you'll drive the **** out of that 240. They are a much more forgiving chassis than an FC, but you will be part of the majority. But like I said Do what has to be done to get seat time. If you want to be a mechanic, then sit in a garage and work on cars, If you want to be a driver, then drive.

thursday practice went pretty bad at first. worked out some issues, and got advice from forrest (my spotter) and started grazing both bank walls. i'm really excited for qualifying today. Ben installing the deck/speakers in my car was the best thing ever.
i only have one more set of tires..... have to chill and only do a few laps in practice and then lay down a top 16 run. not having tires really holds you back, but it's good to be able to adapt to new tires/setups on the flow.

@mike, i did qualify. we had a practice lap right before the 2 qualify laps and i smashed into the infield wall.. i broke Forrest's RPF1 (which i just bought.... lol) borrowed some wheels, made the first qualify lap, and my car was super underpowered... 3psi... had the stereo blasting, so first thought was i blew the motor. i ended up completing the run, and popped the hood to see my turbo GLOWING red... i knew it was already dead cause ever since RD2 vegasdrift its been smoking, and we've replaced individual pieces of it to keep it alive.. so knowing it was blown, i hit up brandon's air-compressor, and aired up my rear tires to 100psi and threw down another pass.
it wasnt much better, but for having issues i was pumped to have even qualified because it seriously felt like an NA all over again for those two passes.
i wish i could've went further, but my driving ended with walker wilkerson. they made us do a retake on just my follow run which i thought was weird (not a OMT). the first run i threw down decently aside from the dispersion from spinning off the line through 3rd. gear, but the 2nd lead run, i spun trying to advance into his door at the infiled yet again beating myself and handing it away...
so many people helped me throughout this year, and it was much appreciated. i need to start catching back up on life now, and get a car together that can actually be competitive with more power, because this stock turbo/ecu/240hp is not the way to go, when you're up against 500hp cars... the one thing my car still really lacks is steering angle, so that's getting addressed first and foremost.
idk what the plans are yet for the car... i may missile it out fully, or repair it and make it a street car with fresh aero/wheels/paint and some interior. either way i go about it i'd like to start on the other FC, and get it going for XDC next year. i'd really like to focus on driving a fully built car next year with more power. i think its time to step up a little. ****, atleast get down on a rev limiter to make it sound cool! haha

Did you end up getting you license or were they not giving them out to top 16. One of my dudes from the midwest got his, mike skud cant spell his name. I know what you mean about taking you self out, i have that problem sometimes.

that mike dude was killing it too.
i didnt get a license. just going to take it as it comes, and progress super hard this season. i have a full year of experience traveling, and budgeting events now so next year shouldn't be as hard. hopefully i can make some good money from now until march and do this all over again.
