What are you talking about? Looks to me like it completely covers a shortblock teardown, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly.

But then I guess it would take a knowledgeable rotary mechanic such as yourself, who polishes the entire ALUMINUM body of 3rd gen rx7s, and can't tell which dipstick is appropriate to his engine, to know.

For those bored or interested in the what/when/why, here is an interesting thread. The end is worth scanning the first part. THis really shows you what kind of people are in charge:

https://www.rx7club.com/comments-suggestions-archive-222/who-administrative-contact-forum-now-714428/

Then that thread was closed by Ryan, and some more of it spilled over into this one, starting post at 18:

****, I'm glad I got my engine together last weekend. Now I really wish I had copied it as a text file, dammit.

Thats complete bullshit that you can't sell stuff in the forums. How is that any different than what anyone else does?

Hmm never read that 2nd thread before... intresting that Ryan thought you have been whining too, just like I commented on just last week (or was it this week)?

Of course I didn't call you names when I said you were whining as Ryan did.

But really what it seems to come down too, is you don't like Ryan and you don't like the rules being enforced that you agreed too when signing up for the board. Kinda sad for the whole community, while many of use are trying to make the board a better place, to loop it all in together, it appears you are doing the opposite as some stomp the foot tantrum against Ryan and the board.

Also intresting that despite your two going at it, that the 2nd thread you posted is still open... despite your predictions contrary to that.

We have been under new ownership since before you were a member...

So I would hardly say new management.

And I would say, that if you can't access it from kevins page, that it is not the admins with the problem. You should be able to go to Kevin's site and find it... if not, well then it is more Kevin slapping the rotary community at large (not just the RX-7 Club) in the face. After all, he did the work, posted it orginally to help all of us in the rotary community and then he takes it down because he doesn't like something on a single (of the hundreds) RX-7 or Rotary club boards.

IF I were trying to sell engine rebuilds (my business) or quantities of new or used parts, I could see their point. But they seem not to be able (or want, more likely) to distinguish between the business end of things and unloading a few misc. parts laying around, or even things off my personal car.

BTW, those of you who may have the writeup saved, I respectfully ask that you honor my wishes regarding the info not being posted on this forum. IF the forum admin can't support me, I see no reason to support it.

Sure, the info is out there on other writeups and dvd's that you can buy or copy, but I think my writeup gave a unique, realistic, easy to follow perspective and directions on the subject.

I dont know Ryan and don't have a PERSONAL opinion of him one way or another. I spoke with him one time when we did a business deal YEARS ago. He initialy claimed he was happy with that deal and weeks later came back and claimed dissatisfaction, and was an *** about doing it. Other than that, I never had any communication with him one way or another.

I have supported him via this forum before, not only by bringing information and parts/engine deals to his community, but with monetary donations when requested. I even sponsored the forum for a short time, money which went into his pocket.

If I had personal ill will towards him, do you think I would have done this?

Now, on a BUSINESS level, I dont think highly of him. He ran a failed magazine venture which resulted in loss to hundreds of people who put their faith in him, and basically told those people to go take a flying leap off a cliff because it was tough ****. He has let many opportunities to make money on this forum slip by over the years. Instead of instituting a non intrusive, optional "feature subscription" section to this site like other forums run on, he brings that god awful green intellitext bullshit here to make money instead of asking for donations. His communication has always been terrible, taking days or weeks to respond, if he responds at all, which is why he lost my short-lived sponsorship of the forum. If it were that important to make money, one would think he would have been more responsive. He plays favorites to his local friends regardless of their forum conduct, but is quick to point the finger at regular members like me.

IT would be more accurate to say that I know Ryan has a dislike for me personally, and I have a dislike for his business and forum admin methods.

Also intresting that despite your two going at it, that the 2nd thread you posted is still open... despite your predictions contrary to that.
IT stayed open because I left it alone and so did Ryan.
