O man Saint, I LOVE your FD. What are the specs on it? Year, mods, and the like. Yours is by far my favorite one in the city. Btw, you take awesome pictures.

Auto-x at RRX grounds,
Track days at Gimli motorsports park,

and
Late nights in deserted industrial areas when the above arent available.

You've got a few options in the summer!

haha thanks.

Yeah, not much for gifts this year. But normally gifts do suffer. I just treat myself and buy whatever I want. Spent too much money this year.

poor FD is being neglected however for now

than I rebuilt it and Brennan is still beating on that motor with some serious HP going to the back tires.pat myself on back. but i am not in winnipeg nor fixing 7's anymore

Anyone have any projects going on your car or related things ?

I have two . I am tearing down and hopefully rebuilding a 1974 RX4 13B engine I picked up for $75 to play with . I may put it in the '79 if it works out . This would be my first attempt at doing anything like this .

Also building a plastic model of my '79 and taking the time to try and get it painted to match the detail as close as possible to the real car .

Heres a few pics of the 13B teardown and the model . The teardown has only finished getting all the peripherals off and the flywheel and front pulley and plate off . Needed to buy a huge flywheel socket form sears for the flywheel ( 21/8 inches) . Check out the block heater that came out of the block . Must have been a local car . I think it came from an RX4 wagon.

Also , for painting the model , check out the "spray booth" in the garage made from a shop vac box and some pape clips to hang the pieces from . It was in there for primer and heat bake from a 1500 watt halogen lamp form pricess auto . Kind of necessary with the temperatures this month.

I would be willing to bet that the motor you got is a boat anchor. Not trying to kill your fun, I have torn down more than a few and when they look like that and are that old, chances are its junk.

yea , no problem . I bought it with low expectations . I really wanted some cheap practice at tearing one apart before I do the stock engine in my '79 . If it was rebuildable it was a bonus .

I see you have a repu for sale ..... how would we get it to winnipeg if I was interested ? Can you send me some pictures ?

yeah I do, It still has manitoba plates on it actually. I will find some pics, thee are some on this site. There are also a few peggers that have seen it in person. Getting it to winnipeg would be not to hard, either transport or fly out here and tow it back. When I bought it, I drove to seattle and towed it back to winnipeg, than drove it out here when I moved here.

Just up until the other day I had no idea there was even such a thing as a rotary truck. I ended up finding this old repair manual from 1978 that like covers everything you need to know about repairing it from small things to a complete rebuild , if you do end up getting it, just let me know and I could lend it to you.

on another not, canaffordit, no I am not eric, and there is no 20b in it, just pretty much all stock. My name is from when I was planning a 20b build, but it didnt end up working out, so I found the 7 I currently have, and couldnt be happier. I dont find myself wishing I had a 20b either, the 13b is enough for me.

Hey everyone
I would really appreciate it if you could help me out on this
My '85 RX-7 was an autopack writeoff
I need a few things for it and I've been having problems finding some of the stuff
I can't seem to find any 4x110 rims
And the only lower control arms I can find are off ebay for $60
Any of you guys got some spares or know of someone with some parts?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

the 4x110 rims are real hard to find .

FRED has a bunch of old 7's in his back yard and may be able to help you. You have to go down to his place and ask for him . I don't have a phone number . He lives on west side of Pembina just south of the st. Norbert arena . Its a white building with a store front that used to be an ice cream shop ( "cream" on side of building ) go in the back wood gate and knock on the house door to find him.

there were also some on usedwinnipeg.com a few weeks ago . They may not have sold and the ad just run out . see if you can get a number for any old listings ?

I guy work with may have one , I pm'd you his number, name is Darin

ebay is your other best bet
