You were lucky. I had two seperate nests inside the air vent system entered in the slots under the wipers. Luckily they didn't enter the car though. Took two months to completetly get rid of the mouse **** smell..

You can try a place north of stoneall where he rents space in sealed storage rail cars . $250 per season. I drove up to look but its too far for me to go . I doubt mice would get into those . I am keeping it in my garage this winter ( going to scrape the daily driver all winter

the guys name is Hal , 770 8085 ... tell him Ray gave you the number

I guess when the barn next door burnt down, they all moved next door.

This mid November warm weather is great . I drove the convertible to work today . Nice sunny day and that 0 degree air this morning is better than any cold air intake you could design . It actually did feel like it performs better with the cold air . I didn't think I would notice anything.

anyone else still have their car out ?

I did find a power steering pump form Fred , but haven't installed yet . The car drives fine manually with the belt off the pulley. I almost think I like it better.

If this is global warming .... I 100% support it

Taking the vert to work again this morning . Still above zero in the morning, 8 deg high , and no snow or rain in the past month . Not your typical November 24th in winnipeg

check kijiji I noticed a few cheap na's on there. Those'd make for a usable shell if u pull the old motor. Sad to hear about ur TII.

maybe go talk to FRED , he might help , or know someone who can

He lives on west side of Pembina just past St. Norbert arena , the front of his house says "ICE CREAM on the side . You'll see rx7s in his driveway . His door is in the back yard through the gate . Old guy , knows a lot . Pretty helpful if you buy some parts off him .

engine ? , or full car ?

he likely has an engine, not sure about a registerable car . He does have a few FC's in his backyard. you'd need to stop by and ask ... he is usually home working on his race car or something

You might be better off doing it yourself if your mechanically inclined at all, if you already have an engine, most shops going rate for a job like that is over a grand, that's not including any modification, rewiring, any extra labor for unexpected issues, tuning (if you don't go stock ECU), the price quickly rises if its not a plug and play operation. There's a tonne of write ups on this forum, and a lot people who are willing to help if you want to look into trying it, if not maybe someone might know a local shop who has a decent price.

I drive a '94 R2 and I'm also in Thunder Bay, and I'd drive to Winnipeg next summer if you guys meet (and I'm off work). Are there any good rotary mechanics in Winnipeg? I'm sure its been discussed on this thread already, but I don't feel like searching through twenty some pages, haha.

Laguna, what kind of work are you looking to have done? I am from Terrace Bay, and I have seen your car once, in TBay. You were going the other way though.

Just to let you know, your car is the first 3rd gen I have seen in person!

Nothing in particular really, it's just good to know where the closest rotary shops/mechanics are. Eventually I might get some porting done, and "upgrade" the internals, those are the only things I wont do myself.

I'm glad to hear I was your first
