[[QUOTE=Buggy;10366831]As far as cost goes, figure on around $500 USD if you have a passenger to split on gas with. Always take some extra cash with you just in case. The trip can be done for less, but why not enjoy it rather than pinch pennies the entire trip. Buy some shirts and stuff, drink some beers.... this list goes on.

I need a passenger with $500 usd then.....

I was more so hoping to find out how many km's i could look at putting on the car. The first day is my birthday, so I'm going to do everything to make this happen. I'm pretty sure I'm picking up the final parts for my reliability. Anyone down to go to Florida afterwards?

Again, I will try this year work schedule permitting. Hey, this reminds me...I paid for a T-shirt? or something, I paid for something last year but I didn't make it down. Were they suppose to send me the shirt?

Pretty sure you were actually registered last year and had a bag there and everything. I can't remember if we grabbed it or not for you. Just bug Phil if you go this time. I'm sure he would throw in an extra shirt for this year. Might even have some laying around from last year still.

As far as how many km's you can expect to put on, I'd say estimate in and around the 3000km mark for the trip. I think that is pretty close. I can't remember exactly from last year.

I'm kind of in the same boat as RXeckless, Rick. I just got back into school, so I need to find out how scheduling will work out, But I'm going to try very hard to come. The 28th is my birthday, so I've got the leverage on myself to say, I didn't go to Vegas last year, so this is a must do.

Thanks Bryon for the mileage, that'll help me out a bit. So that means about 4000km with dgrr and bcm for next year, that's half of what I did this year.

As soon as registration opens I would advise booking the cabin. The sooner it is booked the better discount you get and you get the best selection of cabin. I vote for the cabin we had last year. I think it was #180....

It's 1300 Km to the tail of the dragon, so figure at least 3,000 Km round trip minimum.

This is a direct route I believe we start further north east.

I'm going forsure. I'll be staying in Gatlingburg. I drive out there two times a year, I might as well go when everyone else is.
If anyone wants to stay at the treetops resort (bluegreen) let me know.

...and I'm gonna get some new shoes for this!

Last edited by Chad D.; Dec 17, 2010 at 07:23 PM. Reason: last time I drove out there I spent 3800kms

No, more like 6+ tanks. That doesn't include driving around while you're at the gap.....

Your FD gets 750/tank? I think It would be 5 in my Corolla, after cruising on the Interstate at 75mph all day long.
