That's kind of what I'm doing. I have a fully built JDM engine ecu and tranny. I've already modified my JDM harness to reach the ecu (LHD) and my stock dash harness to plug into the JDM ecu.

My current problems I'm working on are

1)connecting the fuel pump relay.

The main harness from my NA engine had a plug on the end that reached out to the relay under the air box but I see no such plug on this S5 TII harness. Perhaps the relay was in a different location in the Japanese car it came out of?

2) the plugs from the main harness to the dash harness.

On the main harness between the ecu and the firewall, there is a plug that connects to the dash harness. I found wiring diagrams for connecting the S4 dash harness to the S5 ecu and have already done that without issue. But diagrams for the connection between the main harness and dash harness continue to elude me.

Yes, I figured I should keep the relay that goes to the pump I'm using. Now I just have to figure out where to wire the thing. Part of my problem is that mine looks different from the pictures I've seen online. Mine looks like this,

and underneath

Anyway I'm starting to think the plug for this relay is somewhere else on the JDM harness. I've been comparing my old S4 NA to it and everything else makes sense, AFM, pressure sensor, fuel prime connector, they're pretty much the same but there's just not an extra plug for the fuel pump relay on that part of the harness.

Isn't that the injector resistor pack?

Yes, my ignorant self thought that was the pump relay. Here from what I've read the fuel pump relay is under the airbox and looks like this.

That resistor looked closest to that so I figured mine was a little different. But if that's not it then I don't have anything that looks remotely close in my fender, unless not all of them have that heatsink on them. This is what I have.

Aparently the S5 TII uses high impedance injectors and don't need a resistor pack so that answers why I don't have a plug for it on my S5 harness. Now I need to find out where the hell my relay is and why I'm not getting power to my fuel pump.

Thanks for pointing that out and solving another mystery for me.

if your running your afm...check the afm there is a fuel pump switch in that and also check to see if your getting power to the pump itself...with a test light

I found my fuel pump relay and it's plugged in to the front harness. So now I'm back to those S5 main harness to S4 dash harness connectors I can't seem to connect. I've been searching all 4 corners of the internet for a few weeks now and I'v come up dry on pin out diagrams for them. Anyone know where I can find a pinout diagram (like the one for the ecu in the FSM) for the connectors between the main harness and dash harness? I'm pretty sure that's where my disconnect is.

The car is an '86 and the engine, transmission, ecu, and harness are JDM S5. I'm well aware they aren't compatible, I've already cut the dash harness plug that goes into the ecu and modded it to fit the S5 ecu. Now I just need to do the same to the dash harness plug so it will connect to my S5 main harness.

Fuel pump relay is under the steering wheel. It's yellow and black, that is the main reason to use S4 harness. To keep from going in and having to re-pin or mixing the wires up and causing a wiring nightmare like you did. If it is a project car that your building from the ground up with all new everything that's a different story. Hope you get it sorted out. If you would have went S4 NA harness there is like 4 wires to pull at the ECU, but now Good luck...

now you just need to hook up that ignition switch I see siting in front of the shifter and install a push button for the starter and you will be at drift car status! so what do the toggle switches do?

First switch just turns on the gauge lights, but the second switch releases a smoke cloud and the third drops banana peels! I wish that was true, drifting Mario cart style. Nah the last two are not used yet. Hopefully ill have my radiator back from being modified at the end of the week so I can post some pics.

You should tap your new gauge's lighting into the stock system and dispense with the switch.
Also, those switches are too close together.

so i bought a e-fan and didnt think it threw all the way. so instead of sending it back and getting a different size, i decided to get complicated.

i asked them to remove the heater core return thing but they decided to leave it.

ended up having to mount the radiator a little higher and cutting a small section out of the underside of the hood to make it fit.

this pic was taken from the front of the car and it is the driver side.

Brakes are next on the list, probably should have done them first but oh well. i also have a manual steering rack on the way and need to get new tie rod ends.
Is it me, or is that a 326 boost sensor?...
