That is a Racing Beat convertible spoiler. I do also have a Tamon Design spoiler. You can see the Tamon spoiler in the last video I posted, but its not on the car.

very sic. They're doing a great job on it!

Whats the plan for the quarters regarding the existing sheet metal? Will they trim it back and weld it shut type of thing? or are they getting a little more complicated?

Oh and I love that hood on there, really fits well with an extra two meters of width on the body just sic.

I spoke with my body guy about that yesterday when I was there. You can actually see the lines we made in the dust on the rear driver panel in the vid. Rear 1/4s will be trimmed back about 4 inches up top, tapering down to no trimming on the sides. Trimming the sides of the wheel arch is not really needed as the wheel only needs the extra space up top really. Once the trimming is done it will be welded shut. If more space is needed we will trim accordingly. I do want a little extra room back there to maybe run some slightly larger rear tires in the future.

*edit*
Seats have been ordered.

I was expecting a month or so wait on my new seats but I've been told that the seats are already in LA. So I should have them with pics in the next week or so.

Calm down dude, these spoilers are 19 years old now and simply aren't around anymore. Racing Beat lost all their molds when various companies that made their body parts went out of business/got bought out.

wooohooo!
I was at the body shop today and they had trimmed the rear driver side 1/4 and were working on it. They put the wheel on and the rear fender over it. Looked Hot! I had my camera in the wrong mode so I didn't get a shot of it though. I got a shot of the wheel showing the amount of material that was trimmed away though. Obviously that area is not finished. They were working on it when I was there.

The front fenders & bumper gaps are fitted now along with the door to fender gaps. Both front vents are cutout as well. I forgot to get pics of stuff. Was in a hurry. I'll drop by the shop on friday.

There correct response should have been "we don't make body parts ANYMORE FOR THE FC". For them to tell you they do not make body parts is just plain wrong. They currently still make a front lip and spoiler for the FD. They used to make a bumper for the FD too I believe. This spoiler is LOOONG since discontinued.

Looking good man, seems you'll finally get to drive it again soon! The anticipation must be KILLING you!!

I don't know if it's just the camera and lighting but those reverse lights look insanely bright! You got some huge LEDs behind there?

Thanks for the PM, I owe you one

Soon? I dunno about that. The body shop should be done with the car in about a month. Then the vert gets a new top and carpet install. Theres still lots to do. Once they are done then theres the engine & everything else. Anticipation? You have no idea!

The LEDs have a bit more power running through them in these pics than the car will actually put through them. So they will be a a little dimmer than the pics. But should still throw out some good light.

Each reverse light contains 2 white circuit boards each with 25 5mm white LEDs for a total of 50 LEDs. So, for the reverse lights alone, 100 LEDs!

Preheat oven for at least 10 minutes at 250 degrees then toss the lights in for 10 minutes on a pan with no plastic touching any metal. You may need another 5 mins in the oven to loosen up the glue more.

More Progress!!!

I know some of you have been waiting to see these rear wheels mounted up with the kit so here you go!!!

Yes I know the tread is facing the wrong way. I only dropped of 1 front and 1 rear wheel at the body shop. Those wheels are supposed to be on the other side, but you get the picture.

<object height="350" width="425">

Gas door getting prepped to be welded shut. Wheel well still needs a little work. This area of the car should be interesting. Fill tube is being extended to work with a billet aluminum round locking gas door.

Looking good, however, you need to lower the car, it's jacked up like a 4x4.

Car also has stock suspension on it right now. The Flex coilovers will be reinstalled when the body shop is done.

lol.

hey even on jackstand it would look better WITH the tein flexes, they have such short droop travel that the car will still look tight.

full droop without the suspension even being set low! --->
