I don't have any money. I put this entire build on GoodfellaFD3S credit card.

You should have asked me for the Credit Card Number.

Delivered today By way of Fritz $$

New, never used Carbon Fiber Brake Ducts. No longer available. I made him an offer and he was kind enough to pass them along to me. Thanks Fritz.

It's also idling a bit high... seems I need another USB cable.

sounds like the "idle" is about 2000rpm or so? do you have the throttle blades cracked open? idle stop screw screwed in way too far?
i love this car.

Actually it's idling at 3k rpm. Lol
I need to bleed the brakes and clutch and lower the rear about an inch. Front is at 25.5 and rear currently 26.5. I am ok with the 25.5 so will just lower the rear.

I got the air out the coolant system. I was considering adjusting the Idle with the screw under the TB. I ended up washing the car and cleaning the garage instead.

My cars and coffee buddy's are trolling me about not bringing it tomorrow morning but I don't feel like staying up half the night working on it.

The Honey Badger rides again!

It's idling high. Can't seem to dial it out. It's either a vacuum leak or the PFC needs to be reinitialized so it can learn the idle. It's sitting at about 2500 Rpms.

I can say I love the Ohlins. They ride so nice. Very smooth, no harshness with road imperfections. The car felt great just cruising around other than the idle.
The Ohlins stand out to me as possibly the best part of this build. But it's early...

All attempts to lower idle so far have failed. I believe it may be in the base tune I am using or the PFC needs to be reinitialized to learn the idle.

Lowered the car down to 25.25 front and 26 rear. Will bring rear down some more. Found my rear caliper is leaking. It's wet under the E brake spring.
I fixed a few coolant leaks and hopefully a PS leak. I bled the brakes and clutch. It's driveable but still needs plenty of sorting done.

Have you check for any vac leak? The clutch switch (Not the starter clutch switch) - I know for a fact that affects high idle etc.

Alternator isn't charging. Will have to figure that one out.
Looks like decent vacuum. Motor has Mazda 3mm seals and is stock port. It's a build I inherited but seems to be fine. Will do a compression test soon with a fancy rotary compression tester.

Also when bleeding the brakes and clutch my Mityvac wasn't working all that well. I went to a back up which actually worked better. Everyone should have one of these.

I could not get my brakes to bleed, and my wife was never very thrilled with being the one to pump my brakes, so I bought one of those and LOVE it! Like you said, everyone should own one!

for future reference: the "euro" cap works on our FD master cylinders. it's much easier than the universal chain thing.

for the alternator charging issue, i tracked mine down to a bad gauge cluster. the "activate" signal actually comes from the alternator light in the gauge cluster. i had a tiny burnt section in the flexi-plastic circuit board on the back of my cluster. keep that in mind while you're troubleshooting.

The alternator worked fine but of course I had it upgraded to 140amp and we powdercoated the Cage. It's probably a grounding point either on the lugs where it mounts or in the inside of the cage where the regulator gets its ground. Let's hope it's the exterior lugs. I will probably take it off tonight and see if I can grind off the coating where it mounts and see if that fixes it. If not I will bring it to the alternator shop and have them sort it out.

Fixed the alternator. Sanded off the powdercoating for the grounding points.
This is how you test if it's not charging
