I bought one of those new 3-piece 5th gear synchro's. It's supposed to allow for quick shifts.

The car is up and running like a top. I've been able to put a little over 200 miles on the motor so far. Being able to shift into 5th without tickling the revs has been fantastic.

I have a few tiny things left to do under the hood to finalize everything but I should be able to get some pics up soon. Hopefully some videos when I start feeding it some real boost. The turbo is VERY responsive and very audible.

So are you running the 6265 or the 6766 currently?

Mine started out that way....It's been through many transformations and some how managed to remain in the engine bay...eBay going hard in the yard.

How do you feel in the comparison between the 6265 and 6766 as far a spool, lag and power band?

My previous motor was a little tired, regardless the 6265 did great. With a fresh motor behind it, I can only imagine how much more responsive it would've been. The 6766 is ready to come online whenever my foot tells it to, I would say lag is minimal but maybe I'm biased

Depending on what your goals are with the car, either choice will meet and exceed expectations.

I have a tiny leak around the v-band clamp on the downpipe, I'm trying to get that ironed out before I do some real driving, I'm just paranoid to some degree that it would cause my wideband readings to be skewed. The weather has cooled back down at least

It doesn't fit the bigger hotside, I did get that taken care of though yesterday and have another shield ready to rock

Yea I still have the ducting, with the new setup I've had to change it a little bit. I've managed to open up some space for the intake filter...I'm thinking about buying a NACA duct or making something of the sorts and sealing that area off. I'll post some pics of that project when I get started on it.

I'll be jumping over to your thread to check for some updates

No worries, I'm going to get a glass showcase for it in the garage, remind myself where it all began

I used some air tools (cutting wheel) and then drilled out a hole for the to bolt onto the hotside. Depending on how your turbo sits you could use a different mounting point as well.

I bought this newest piece from eBay, it's generic enough you could probably make it work with various setups...it's a nice piece.

It's been a good month since my last update, nothing too exciting has happaned...I've been trying to get all the little quirks polished up ect. Started feeding the car some boost last week only to find out my HKS SSQV blow off valve is leaking. Lucky me!! Lets buy more ****!

I have been enjoying the car though just waiting for the Tial to show up in the mail and give it another go, hopefully all my little quirks disappear

It was fun driving around with this pack of cars! 2 single turbo rotaries and a R1 with 30k on the clock, still has the new car smell

This was the rest of the pack. 500+awhp DSM/580awhp GTR/M3/ Ducati 848

welp...Another Greddy Profec B Spec II down the drain...these things are junk.

When the next EBC shows up in the mail I plan on getting the boost up around 24psi of glory. Hopefully some dyno time soon to follow.

what ebc did you end up going with then? Its funny because I hate GTR's but then when I thought to myself...what modern sports car would I choose if I had a choice... It was a toss up between 2013 BMW M3 coupe or the GTR haha. I think I hate them because rich people purchase them....show up to meets and nothing else matters besides the fact that they own the gtr.. Even the gay carbon fiber trim that cost them $3500 extra from the factory.
