Tell me about it. My lawyer is trying to delay the hearing as much as possible to try to see if the officer does not show. I just want to make sure I don't loose my licence. That is 59 miles over the limit plus the illigal lane change.

Those rims on the red FD are ASA's but mobeoner can elaborate on the specifics.

I'm now following this thread too. Very interesting, as I bought my car ON THE CHEEEEEEEP since the guy before me parked it into a telephone pole.

I've done enough to have it running very VERY good (I won't say perfect), and driving / handling like a brand new car (I will say perfect there), and then body work and paint. Some finesse after that, but I'm still running the stock twins, stock radiator, IC. I just haven't had a ton of money to drop in it. But the stock stuff up front will be going away in the near future.

I just moved, and now I'm in emissions battle mode (from no cat and PFC).

Love the thread!

haha, parked it on the pole... that's a good way to get a good deal. I mean I think my car was a steal for a black on black R1 that had a lower mile JDM motor. even with the missing parts and body that needs to be done... I can live with the body, I mean I have had the car for over two years and I haven't done anything with the body except get a r1 lip. (well till now, I got some stuff lined up already.)

But my car always... and always ran like crap... except when I got it first and it was driving like a regular sequential twin rx7. till I blew the motor.

What are your plans for the engine? single turbo? or non-sequential twins! or 20b

haha, yeah, that guy was flipping out! the crazy thing is... my car was smoking like that and I was like, listen I'm sorry about the smoke, its only temporary. and he told me no, its not a problem, that one is the one making all the noise and the smells. hahaha. Jason's car was not even on. hahaha. I think the dude just had something against Jason.

Yeah man I am going to post what I got and where I am so far in the swap as of this weekend. just wanted to catch the thread up to the current point in the build. will be updating tonight...

Yeah man, thanks for coming threw and helping out that day. then the car got stuck down the block. lol.

As good as the engine is running, I'm planning on mostly leaving it alone. The only thing I want to do is come up with my own sequential mod. There's the 'non-sequential mod' the 'poor man's non-sequential mod,' and I am thinking of a way to make, 'the intelligent non-sequential,' mod (or JyRO's non-sequential).

The reason is, that I like the way it sounds and runs when the PFC has the 2nd turbo online. The PFC tends to hold the second turbo online much longer than the stock ECU. I'd like to be able to run it that way more. But I like the way it makes instant boost when on the primary turbo. So I'm thinking of doing some experimenting, see what I can do. But other than that, I'm not planning on sinking much money in h.p. But I will spend some money on engine destruction prevention.

I had the poorest man non-sequential mod! hahahaha. to the point where I didn't even take out the flappers, hell I didn't even weld them open. they just flew open on throttle. lol. was definitely a bad choice! but when in a rush that's what happens. Car ran decent in my eyes like that, hell it hit 130mph fast on the highway. but now the twins are in the past!

Yeah that guy had an issue with me. Maybe because that one day I told him that I was going to beat him like a read headed step child if he set foot in our garage. Or maybe the time I threw a wrench at him and he called the cops on me, or maybe when I tossed that box magazines all over his door step.

That guy was luck that I am a nice calm guy!!

So after a long drawn out winter and a really slow spring... my car made its last voyage as a twin turbo... Rolled out to the Supras vs rx7 meet out at Island raceway. here is a photo from when the crew got to the event...

That was about two weeks ago and here is a photo I took of my engine bay once I got back home and wanted to take a BEFORE photo...

So here goes a list of the parts I have been buying for the car since winter and getting stuff ready to rock.

Going big since I don't wanna go home. Turbonetics T-66 turbo

Got to have some fuel for the set up... so I got a full KGparts fuel system packed with 1600 secondariness and 860 primaries. along with a Aeromotive FPR with hose all the way back to the tank.

Going to be running this 44mm tial wastegate!

Got a HKS stainless steel manifold to hook it all up together! (cough cough)

That will all be backed up with a 3" stainless steel downpipe courtesy of rx7store.com... Says it will match up with the T-66. but with my luck I will need to modify it up quite a bit!

Also got me a Banzai Racing HKS- Tial BOV adapter!

Got me some V-band and some gaskets and a 3bar map sensor... cuz um... yeah... no stock boost on this set up.

Did a test mock on the floor... mainly just wanted to see everything together to see how sweet it will look. lol.

I also sent out the injectors to get flow tested and cleaned! Injector rehab did a excellent job as always.

Also got me some resistors for the injectors, just have to um... figure out what to do with them. lol.

For the fuel system I had originally just got a Walbro pump, but that was before I knew I was going single... I won a RP(supra) pump at the Carlisi meet so I am going to be running that... would love to go dual, but no funds for that, and I hope to reach my HP goals with one, but I know it will be hard. but the bump is so much bigger.

Also picked up a fast acting Air temperature sensor!

Also figured while I am at it might as well go ahead and get a brand new BOV, the HKS one I have on there is ghetto rigged and not even sure if it works properly. so I went a head with the mack daddy TiAL in red:

Also picked up a new set of red samco hoses for my koyo radiator... they are stock hoses so I will need to modify a little bit to get it to work with my radiator location, but I have it at a slight angle now and the stock FD hoses are what I am using now and its sitting ok. so I hope these go on without a ******.

First day of the tear down and I got the IC piping out and the turbo intakes and Y-pipe off.

I know I had a oil leak in the car... I knew one of the turbos had to be shot for some reason (probably from the super poor mans non-sequential conversion) but there is oil all in my piping, here it is sitting in the Greddy Elbow.

and then to my shock there is about a inch of oil sitting in the bottom of the IC. FML.

there was even oil in my BOV. and aside from that here is why you don't have a plastic hose sitting next to the turbo... it gets super crispy and breaks!

That was just the first day, which was this past saturday, got the car jacked and set up and everything so day 1 was a little slow... I like to take it slower and put everything somewhere where I can find it later. (not that I will need half the stuff I am pulling off the turbos)

I took off Monday from work to get stuff done on the car... lets just say it was a fail for the first half of the day... after running chores and trying to get my BOV flange welded to my IC piping I lost all day doing nothing... but I finally get to the garage to get some work done.

OFF COMES THE UIM AND GREDDY ELBOW!

AFTER SOME RUSTY BOLTS OFF COMES THE DOWNPIPE AND I WAS ABLE TO GET THE O2 SENSOR OUT WITHOUT STRIPPING THE THREAD

THEN BAM!!!! OFF COME THE TWINS AND MANIFOLD.

LETS SEE IF THERE IS SOME PORT IN THERE THERE! LOOKS TO BE BURNING OK... MAYBE

NOW LOOKING LIKE A LITTLE GOT DONE THIS DAY.... EVERYTHING IS OFF AND READY TO GET THE NEW SET UP STARTED!

We gotta get a day where everyone just goes to the garage and just bangs everything out quick. Me, Jason, you, and Tom and whoever else is down. Have that **** cleaned, painted, installed, running, and ready for a tune.
