Update:

Side mounted alternator fitted. Sump lines for oil system fitted. Cut the hood even wider. If you're going to cut a $1,000 hood, why not destroy it all the way so as to see the vaccuum cleaner in all its glory haha. Just need to smooth/paint the edges and then recut/buff the hood back up.

The car will not be driven very much, so a screen/mesh filter will be fitted as seen on the last car. As of now the radiator sits upright, so there's limited room for a full size filtering unit. The radiator may be re positioned at an angle at a later date to allow clearance.

Waiting on a few parts, like the 4 channel EGT bungs to weld into the manifold, intake manifold from powdercoater and a couple other odds and ends. Then it should be nearing final assembly time.

If all goes well, we hope to reveal the final and running engine on November 1, the same date as SEMA Convention, but from our own American Convention broadcasted from the storage unit.

Thanks for following.

Gonna cover it with some mesh? Don't want to see a tiny pebble grenading your engine.

Edit: Just saw your update.

That will be one cramped bay lol.

What amperage is the alt? I've been thinking of using the gmc 240amp one.

I'd watch it very closely. Are you monitoring EGTs front to back? It will be interesting to see how your temps vary.

I apologize if I missed this earlier, but who is going to be tuning this monster?

Hasnt been decided yet. It would be nice to have PPRE tune it when they are in the states for next Formula Drift season. Or possibly Nelson Siverio here. Need someone who understands how to tune in 4D with alpha-n and boost compensation, so that we can use TPS for load sensing in cruising, and refer to the MAP sensor for load sensing under boost only. That way the pport can be tuned more precisely, as standard map based tuning will have very low vaccuum signal.

Update on the weekend:

All oil lines are ran. 12an's from each pickup on the pan, to the internal oil pump and to the external pump. Oil lines to and from oil coolers to oil pedestal, turbo oil return. And all polishing on metallic parts is being wrapped up tonight.

Intake comes back from powder coating this week. Waiting on EGT bungs to arrive to weld on, so that the exhaust manifold/turbo system can be re-wrapped and permanently installed.

Fuel injectors and EWP should arrive this week. Wiring harness has been test fitted, fits pretty well, EBturbo did a tremendous job. The coil wiring is dumbfounding, can't even see the wires, love this coil setup. Everything in this engine bay will be fit cleanly/securely/neatly yet every square inch will be fully maximized. AN fittings are ordered and will utilized on all vaccum lines to ensure no leaks. Push-to-Connect fittings will be fitted on the dual 50mm wastegates and wrapped with fire sleeve to ensure protection and to make for easy removable/spring swap. We will start with 5psi springs and work up.

If additional cooling is necessary a secondary shorter radiator will be fabricated in front of this radiator and ran in series w/ 16an lines from the EWP.

The goal is to get the car running, as running is what matters, not an engine bay full of parts that will claim to run.

Once the car is running, basemapped, and tuned for low boost, the HGT precision sequential box will be ordered. If more power is desired the turbo can be easily replaced as we have clearance in the hood and from frame-rail for larger, and only requires a charge pipe from turbo to throttle body, but power is not the goal. Reliability, on low boost, with efficient inter-cooling and a fun to drive car is the goal.

Make no mistake, this is a zero hype build, no sponsors, and no big talk. No claims to be anything other than what you see.

We encourage, Less words, more action. No secrets here, all for sharing the love of rotary, to give back to those inspirations that influenced.

Pride is earned in trusting yourself, sacrificing, working with others, giving back to your community, and sweating hard hours to build your dream. If this build encourages one person to dive into their dreams our job is successful.

Thanks for following.

We're going to make america brap again.

What are you doing for the diff, again? I get the feeling it would be completely undriveable without a pretty aggressive clutch-pack mechanical LSD.

when i get to tuning my 13b pp i plan to keep it simple and use a MAF for fueling.. and tps for timing. i'm wiling to help you tune it yourself (for free) if you decide u want togo that path. or at least roughing it in, then again i want to see it n/a lol...

hey thats a great idea for N/A!

Thanks for offer

Yea been reading up on this. A great guy Zebbi from NZ in here was telling me about how he tunes GTR's with ITB's on TPS as reference for all RPM points in vaccuum for fueling, using MAP sensor only for boost compensation and MAP sensor for Timing. Same should be applied for a low vaccuum engine, super large throttle body, etc
