Thumbs down ZK Motoring - Damage Product, Bad Shipping Protection, Stalled Refund

I've never had to write a review like this on the forums, but if this is what it takes from Fahad Khan to refund my order I will do what I must.
I was hoping to take the chance on an affordable LHD style ganador mirror from ZK Motoring - Fahad Khan despite seeing this other bad review that resulted from poor shipping protection: https://www.rx7club.com/bad-fugly-me...khan7-1146233/
Looks like lessons were not learned and shipping protection is still the main issue here and dragging the feet to refund the consumer.

09/05 - Paypal order place for $746.75 - LHD FRP Ganador Style Mirrors with complimentary paint to CYM.

10/18 - Mirrors Arrived but with major damages:

LHD Mirror Lens knocked off the base and impact damages on the mirror edges

fiberglass is cracked - Image 1/2 Also can hear something broken off rattling inside the housing.

fiberglass continued crack - Image 2/2 Also can hear something broken off rattling inside the housing.

RHD Mirror also broken from mirror base

scuffing from contact inside with the other mirror

More corner and edge damages

More corner and edge damages

More corner and edge damages

Primary issue was the lack of shipping protection provided by the seller as there were many forms of contact of the mirrors hitting itself and from external rough handling.
Packing material consisted of a few layers of bubble-wrap around each but butted up against each other.
Perhaps it may not have been had if the materials were lighter, but since these are FPR uppers with motors and with aluminum bases it isn't near enough to be traveling international with so many logistical tough-points.

I had contacted Fahad the day I had opened my package hoping to seek some reconcilement.
I was advised from him that I could receive a refund from him or I could wait 6 weeks for a replacement in the next batch.
However with either option I'd have to pay for the return shipping of the broken pair - which isn't right since I had already paid for shipping with the defective product and return shipping should be covered by the seller - which is what shipping insurance is for.
(Through initial chats it sounds like he didn't or wasn't able, but regardless it's still the seller's risk since it's their obligated to deliver the product in the condition as promised)
I opted to wait for the replacement, but December has passed and within those 6 weeks Fahad hasn't given me any reassurances that his packing and shipping practices would improve to prevent such an issue from re-occurring.
His responses have also become an issue where I've had to now send 1-2 reminder emails just to receive an unsatisfactory replay only responded to part of my emails.

12/31: Opted for Full-Refund.
Emailed to Fahad that I decided to take another route and would like a full refund.

01/07:
Fahad has responded once after me sending 2 reminder emails with him responding that he was away on vacation and would reply to me on Monday (01/08).

Current - 01/17:
Today it's been 10 more days and 2 Mondays have passed with me giving leeway in case it was the Monday after.
I've been more than patient enough where I've opened up a Paypal Claim to retrieve my payment for this faulty item.
Fahad if you have any credibility and care of your reputation, you will refund my Paypal purchase and send supplemental shipping charges or send me a label to return your damaged product, otherwise I'll be happy to trash it.

I offered a replacement pair or a partial refund for the damaged pair once you told me you had received them in damaged condition. I did ask for these to be returned to a US address in case of replacement. The replacement pair was ready in no time and I had sent you pictures of it too.

on 12/22 I even sent you a picture of the electric motors order along with the estimated delivery time which was for mid January. I could only complete the mirrors once I had the motors in hand and ship out the replacement.

As for damages/packaging concerns no matter how well I pack them, I ship from Pakistan. There are no direct flights to USA and the packages pass through various customs who usually open packages for inspection and never repack properly. This is the reason I offer replacements for no extra cost or partial refunds as I do get some complains for damages.

I was on vacations and I did reply to your email on 7 Jan, but I haven't gone to work since as I have an ankle issue. I can attach medical reports on this thread if you want me to prove that.

As for a full refund the item(s) need to be returned to the seller at their own expense according to PayPal Seller Protection Policy. Please return the items as already communicated to you via PayPal to the same address they have been shipped from via USPS

Hi Fahad, Paypal has advised me of this information as well.
Seems the burden is borne by the buyer for instances of damages, which I don't personally agree with.
I'm not going to argue the shipping protection topic anymore, but if it's a known issue, definitely more materials should have been used to compensate for customs.

Main issue now is that through the Paypal claim, you entered your return address as Pakistan.
Previously you communicated to me that I could return these to a local U.S. address - Option #3.
Me sending to Pakistan bears more burden and cost.
Please update and advise this information through the Paypal claim so I can have it shipped.

Fahad, update the paypal claim to reflect your U.S. local address as you had promised in prior emails.
As you have it filed, you show your Pakistan address:

Please have this updated into the paypal claim by Sunday for shipment the next week.
If you are unwilling to advise and change the claim to your U.S. local address, you only show you make damaged product return shipments more difficult and costly to your customers.

Fahad, you have been online and need to stop ignoring these messages.
Revise the return address to the U.S. local address as you had promised in earlier emails.
Unless you also want to add liar to your resume or that you go back on your word, you would update the paypal claim by today with the U.S. local return address.

Asking the buyer to pay retuen shipping on an item damaged in shipping due to poor packaging is just pure bullshit, no matter what paypal says.

i ha e had the exact same items shipped to me from thailand, and they managed to pack it properly and habe it arrive undamaged. It is truly not hard to do even if you take in to account customs opening it.

I agree as well, despite what PayPal's policy states. How can anyone consider themselves a reputable seller and/or business and uphold this type of practice? It sucks that the product was damaged in transit, but this should not fall on the buyer.

Regardless, the buyer is at least making an attempt to work the seller here. Do the right thing and update the return address to help this get resolved.

The buyer chose to go for a replacement pair and then backed out as "change of plans" this was a few weeks after I offered the options. The buyer was also shown pictures of the replacement pair ready to be assembled (waiting on the motors from china)
My brother was in the US during that time when I offered a full refund with the item being returned to a US address.
Now that he's back in Pakistan how do I offer a return to the local address when there's no one even there to receive them.

You're only making yourselves look worse with these excuses.
As your customer and victim of your neglect to deliver the product without damage, it is well within my right to change my mind after waiting over 2 months (not weeks as you claim - Reference email from 10/20) and having to deal with poor email communication that I had to repeatedly follow-up just to receive a response.
Had I waited even longer for the replacement, you still would've made me pay for the return shipping of your damaged product to Pakistan by your logic.
The point is that you poorly protected the product you sent well knowing it could be damaged in transit and hide behind the Paypal policies in making the Buyer assume the risk for shipping damages.

For all other members, know that when buying from ZK Motoring you bear all the risk.
I had to return the package to Pakistan and am out $95 for the return shipping.
Paypal refunded me for the product, but the $95 return shipping costs are out of pocket and not compensated.
From my experience I would strongly discourage anyone from taking the risk in purchasing from ZK Motoring let alone from Pakistan.
Poor concept of customer service as clearly seen above.

To ZK Motoring, if you cannot pack and guarantee safe delivery of your product to the U.S., don't attempt to do business in America.
