ls1007- Bad transaction

I purchased a set of S4 TII rotors from ls1007, paid the full asking price for item, shipping, and even paypal fees. Received the item a little over a week later. When I opened the package, this is what it looked like:

You would think these parts weren't very important to the engine, considering the eight pieces of styrofoam used!!! Needless to say, when they got here, the apex seal/corner seal grooves were damaged to ****:

Upon receiving these, I contacted ls1007 about the damage, being polite and courteous.

Could you not have put some effort into packing these things? They do happen to be somewhat crucial parts to an engine! I expect my money fully re-imbursed including the shipping, otherwise I'll make a claim through paypal. I'll send them back to you if you really want them, but you can pay for shipping this time. I'll have pictures uploaded tonight after work for you.

Thought they were packaged well enough? there was absolutely NOTHING between the apex seal groove and the corner of the cardboard box on BOTH sides!

I'm not sure if you've ever shipped anything before, but when you put a part, that happens to be somewhat delicate right up against the cardboard with no protection and give it to a shipper, ITS GOING TO GET DAMAGED! I haven't even included the fact that I had to pay another $36 in brokerage fees to cross the border, and I'm paying for storage EVERY DAY for my car at my builders' because I don't have all the parts that I was supposed to have and be on schedule. All I'm asking for is the refund for the paypal payment that I sent, I'm willing to eat the rest. And I won't wait for anything, I'll give you 48 hours to refund the payment to paypal before I post the pictures and messages on your FS add, and every single post you make to follow. Not to mention I will file a complaint with paypal and UPS. I've been extremely patient so far, but I'm getting near my limits.
and once again he comes back with the bullshit

Are you completely ******* retarded? Last chance, I want my full $204 refunded by tomorrow, or else I'm going to take legal actions myself. And if you do want your useless triangular pieces of metal for scrap, YOU can pay to ship them back to you. I'll even package them up properly so you can learn how the **** to do it.

Not his fault they were damaged? So, did someone else package them up so poorly while you were drunk and blindfolded and then mail them out?

So the seller sends me $150 paypal'ed (with no 3% fee...) so I now have $145 out of the $250+ I've spent, I've got MORE useless rotors, and I am the one who is the dick? I've now opened a claim through paypal to try to get my full refund, and i'm willing to settle it by returning the $150, and getting my $204 refunded, in which I'm still taking a loss.

Always ask a shipper to install old apex seals when shipping rotors... Just a tip.

I doubt it! Paypal usually screws anyone outside of ebay buyers/sellers.

Did you request insurance on the package prior to shipping? Just wondering...

didnt ups or whoever u shipped the package stop u from shipping somethingwas loose. idk but this is why i pay or have a buyer pay for packaging on shipping cost. let them deal with it becuase if u pack it and get it damage. ups or fedex will want the box and everything that u used to investigate the broken pieces on this kind of bs. I dont trust myself on packing.. there i admit and so should the person who shipped the rotors but atleast i make sure they dont get damaged. A worker at fedex gave me a tip. never use newspaper. allways use extra carboard, stryofoam around the edges of item and styrofoam inside to cusion the impact. To test if itll hold up. He told me to purposly drop the box from a desk or like 3 feet high. If it bounches and roll with no noise then u got urself a safe legit packaged item. If not then its gonna be in danger of damaging.
to the op i think u were a bit aggresive..not a dick but aggresive. U had a bad experience but if u waited this arguement could had been avoided. When you are nice and respectfull to each other, they tend to want to do the good thing and fix the problem.

Wrong, it's your fault that the rotors arrived like that. That was a horrible packing job, and those rotors were doomed before they ever left your hands.

You need to refund the buyer every dollar that he spent, period. You should probably include extra for wasting his time.

Wrong again. No shipping carrier in it's right mind would EVER honor an insurance claim for a box packed as ****-poor as that one was......

I ship items from Sears and UPS really abuse the boxes.

I do agree the box should have been packaged better.

I always tell people to always do sig confirmation...if the box looks beat up...dont except it.

Yeah, packing rotors like crazy **** is a no-brainer, they'll shift and shimmy like mad in transit. It's the sellers fault for not ensuring they were secure/safely packaged before being turned over to the shipping company.

"Double cardboard" on the corners, plastic wrap (are those trashbags?), and random chunks of styrofoam won't really do much against two heavy rotors and intertia. I find it hard to believe that your packing job would have kept anything secure.

Good luck getting anyone else to buy from you on this forum after having a glimpse of your "packing"--seeing as you're more concerned with $54 dollars and your pride rather than acknowledging a mistake and doing the right thing.

The purpose of packing is to make sure the stuff in the box DOES NOT MOVE...not to give it something soft to bang up against once it does.

I wasn't willing to wait "a bit" as you put it. Would I ask to buy something from you, and tell you I'll get you the payment in "a bit"? Did I wait "a bit" to paypal you for the items I was to receive? no. And being that you screwed up, and that this is clearly your fault, I didn't feel it was fair for me to wait.

Actually, you were only willing to refund in full if I was to pay for shipping to return them to you. So I was supposed to spend another $50 to send them back to you, hoping for a refund? All of this because you didn't properly ship my items? And where was the double cardboard dude? Was it invisible? Oh and btw, 8 pieces of styrofoam does not count as proper packing. I don't think so bud. I hope your potential future buyers will look over this thread to see your carelesness. I'll do everything I can to make sure of that.
