17" x 9" +20mm offset (+15 to +30 will work) with 255/40/17 in back

I'm particularly interested in the 5Zigen FN01R-C wheels which I think just match these values.

Note: after further research, I have learned that RETed's wisdom of matching the tire width with the rim width is actually considered a very good theory on handling improvement and is recommended by some guy who wrote some book that I am too lazy to re-research right now. Let's not digress the thread with who it was, but just to say that, yes, it appears to be very solid advice indeed.

How would 17x9 +25 offset all around work out. will it look good?

^Should fit no problem! Might need a roll on the rears depending on your ride height.

17x9 +24 x 4 and 255, it's a tad higher in this pic

I posted some things about it earlier in this thread, but you'll need to roll the front fenders and possibly the rears, and run some neg camber. You'll need coilovers for this. Make sure the wheel bearings are nice and tight as well.

Wheel spacer question if anyone can help me out. Just wondering how wide of spacers I should go with as I am hearing conflicting numbers regarding fitment of FD wheels on an FC, I was told 15mm should work but 2nd gen FAQ says 25mm will be needed for the front. The wheels are 17x8 +45, anyone help me out? TIA

This is going to be a 2 part question. Would 245/40 be okay to run in front with this setup? Or would there be too much rubbing?

Would 18x9.5 +23 in front and 18x9.5 +15 in the rears work with some negative chamber and fender pull?

I have seen the same setup on some stock fender s13s, so im thinking it might be possible...

A 15mm spacer would be fine with a 17x8 45mm offset wheel.

You would have to roll the front fenders with a 245/40 tire. I would recommend a 225/45 or 235/40 for better steering response, while only giving up a little ultimate grip. You may or may not have to roll the front fenders with a 235/40.

Are you looking for a stretched wheel/tire setup? You would be better off asking in the drifting forum: https://www.rx7club.com/drifting-226/

If your not looking for a stretched wheel/tire setup and want to run a "grip"or "square" set up, you would be better off using the 18x9.5 +15 wheel up front to avoid spacers, and you will need over fenders up front, and a pretty good pull in the back.

The car for now is just going to be a cruiser, and I would for sure want to stretch the tires for the front and back.

I got a full set of 17x8.5, and 17x9.5 Offset is +42. I was planning on a 235/40r17 for the front, and a 255/40r17 rear. What size spacers will I need? Per REted`s site says +20 to +30 fronts, and rears. If I add a 20mm spacer will I be safe? I have racing beat 1" drop springs and tokico blues. I have a set of kics 30mm spacers on the rear with a +40 offset 17x7 235/45r17.

Thanks for the help in advanced.

Do you think 17x8 +14mm and 17x9.5 +8mm will fit with fender rolling and narrow tires?
so:

17 x 8 +14mm with 215 (maybe even 205)
17 X 9.5 +8mm with 255 (maybe even 235)

I would like a set of American Eagle series 211 wheels

I would like to point out I have been searching for hours and been reading through this thread but I have yet to find someone running these or something similar.

Also i'm considering running:

15x10 with 6" BS and 265/50R15's (+14mm)
15x8 with 5.5" BS and 216/60R15's (+27mm)

Would these fit decent with a little fender rolling?

I don't mind rolling them out a bit and running some stretch.

the best way to determine is to test fit them dude , than make the necessary modifications.

Yeah I know and I would like too but its hard when you have to custom order them first.

I will oder whatever works out best to fit the car, i'm going with custom offset 15's.

What would be the best for an 88 GXL with stock struts and trying to run a 15x8 with a 215 in the front and a 15x10 with a 265 in the rear?

I can pretty much get any offset I want, I just don't know what to get.
