Would these be able to fit on the front without any modification? From everything I am seeing, it is looking like it will be really close if it does fit without rubbing the suspension (just tien s-tech springs on tokiko illuminas, no coilovers).
Anybody know how well they will fit?
Those are gonna be too tall. You will be rubbing the fenders badly, even with a fender roll. You need 245/45/16 tires at a minimum.

Rear will fit fine, front will need spaced according to: http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm

You could run a 255 tire too.

just a side note, 17x8s with a 235/45 tire need +25mm BS or less, any more and it will rub the factory strut.

would prolly be fine with coil-overs

see my anger in my wheel fitment thread: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/search-fail-wheel-fitment-846653/

i found out i needed 15mm spacers, not 5mm the hard way after dumping like $150 on 5mm ichiba spacers.

G'day

Does anyone the offest specs of any GMAX wheels, Energy in particular

The plan is to get 18x8.5 for the rear and 18x7.5 for the front

Does anyone reckon this should work without any dramas if the offest is the same as standard(+40) or less?

Check that, you need a lower offset in the front. A 5mm spacer should do it.

Cheers mate, much appreciated. The thing with spacers tho, they are illegal in australia. So which wheels would need the spacers, the front or the back? If they are the back, i can just use 7.5 inch in the back.

The back will clear just fine, no spacers needed.

It's the front that will be iffy. With the stock style suspension it will be close, though you might be able to get away without spacers.

Those will fit just fine(with a little camber in back). Though the back might look a bit flusher than the front.

I would go with the Drift 6 in 17x8 and 17x9 35mm offset(ET35).

They would be the ones most likely to fit without spacers.

Can you get G-Max wheels in the states? I looked online and they're an Australian company.

Nothin major... YET

MB Weapons 17x9 +17
215/40/17.

These wheels are for the front, but are on the rear just to see how much camber im going to have to run once I get coilovers.

More will be up later once I get coilovers, 2 more wheels and some time to work on the car :\

You probly could get GMAX wheels in US but the shipping from Oz would cost an arm and a leg. I reckon ill go with 17x8 all around with ET38? Which would be more likely to foul on the suspension, the front or the back? Like i said, spacers are out of the question.

Are you using the stock style suspension?

Some people have already had clearance issues with 17x8 35mm offset using the stock style suspension, you will be 3mm(1/8") closer to the suspension with the 17x8 38mm offset wheel.

Out of all the wheel sizes you listed, the drift 6 17x8 35mm is most likely to fit without spacers. The rest will more than likely need them.

With fender clearance yes. With suspension clearance no, which is where your going to run into issues.

Are you running coilovers?

Probably not.

At the very least you'll need to roll the fenders all around.

Be warned, this is a very aggressive wheel fitment, you could run into fender clearance issues.

Roll the fenders + a decent amount of camber will be needed.

Rogier_13Bturbo - VERY nice! Planning on running some spacers to make them flush?
