WOT won't rev

Hey guys,

My friends car is having issues. It is a 1993 FD. Street ported and everything else is stock. Having issues under WOT where it will buck/hesitate/fall on its face/ hit a rev limiter. However under partial throttle it will drive perfectly okay. There is an AFR gauge hooked up and it is reading 16 at idle and between 16.5-17 while driving. So it is running lean.

We think it is fuel related and went to check if the secondaries are installed and they seem to be clipped in just fine. What should be our next step.

Thanks for any and all help,
Ricky

just stripped manifold to check connections and one of the clips completely fell apart when pulled off so guessing thats the culprit lol

called the local mazda and they cant sell me the connector i need. Where can I buy a new connector clip for the injector? couldn't find it on mazdatrix either.

It depends on the injectors you are using, the link above is only for Bosch style injectors

Oh, good catch Banzai! Yeah, I have 1600's that I used these from RX7Store one, which was years ago. Yeah there is a different style for the stockers, like the Sumitomo connectors in your link.

Thanks!
