**"Matt, I get where you’re coming from. You don’t want this thread derailed by noise, and you want to separate fact from speculation. I respect that.
So let’s cut through the noise. I spent nearly a decade in and around Pettit, and I’m speaking from first-hand experience. You say I haven’t provided proof—but proof is only worth something to those who actually want to see it.
Now, if I provide photographs, CAD models, or other technical documentation, are you going to claim I’m just promoting myself? Are you going to say I’m trying to advertise my work? Because if so, then let’s be honest about what’s happening here.
I have no problem answering direct questions. But if I’m going to be attacked for providing real evidence, do I need special permission to post it?"**
What happened to putting your neck on the chopping block?
Honestly, I’m over all this. It’s nothing but bluster. You obviously enjoy pontificating more than anything.
What’s the quote about “It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt”. You should probably look it up.
Let us know how your class action lawsuit turns out.

"Credit where credit is due—props to the admin for conducting himself like a true statesman and managing his forum with actual professionalism. That’s a rare trait in spaces like these, and it deserves recognition.
Now, as for the rest of this circus—let’s call it what it is. A bunch of people trying their hardest to discredit me instead of addressing the real issue.
I could post pictures, documents, CAD models, and receipts, but we all know how that would go. The same people yelling for proof would just pivot and say I’m ‘self-promoting’ or ‘making it about myself.’ The goalposts would move again, because let’s be honest—some of you aren’t here for the truth.
The people that matter? They already know who I am. They know my work. They know where to find the real discussion—and it’s not happening here.
So let’s make it easy:
If you actually care about unethical business practices, speak up.
If you just want to troll, enjoy the free entertainment—but know that you’re not adding anything of value.
And if this thread gets taken down, well… that just means the conversation moves somewhere else. The truth doesn’t disappear just because it makes people uncomfortable."
We get it, Pettit has fallen downhill - this has been established and accepted - now, would you mind terribly shutting the **** up about it?
"Ah, the classic ‘We get it, now shut up’ defense.
A true intellectual powerhouse of an argument. Bravo.
But here’s the thing—you don’t get it, and that’s precisely why I’m still here.
You don’t get that when a business consistently engages in unethical behavior, it doesn’t just go away because a few people have ‘accepted’ it.
You don’t get that silence enables bad actors to keep doing what they do.
You don’t get that the more people speak up, the harder it is for businesses like this to sweep things under the rug.
And, most importantly, you don’t get that you don’t have to be here.
No one’s forcing you to read. No one’s forcing you to engage. If the discussion bothers you so much, you have every right to walk away.
But let’s be real—you won’t.
Because deep down, you love the drama. You love the back and forth.
You just don’t love that the conversation doesn’t go the way you want it to.
So if you want to keep yelling into the void, be my guest.
But don’t pretend you’re above it when you’re still here, hanging on every word."
Hahahahah. You say that like it's a bad thing. I'm happy to not be built like you.

We......We DO get it. That's what everyone has been trying to tell you since you reopened this thread. We don't like the way YOU are going about all this. If you truly did take a step back and had read the room, like I suggested earlier, then you need glasses my guy. Because you are WAAAAAY off.
Allow me to contribute to the actual point of this thread:
If anyone out there is looking to take legal action against Pettit, A Word Of Warning: I'd suggest staying faaaaar away from OpenSource RX7, and pursue better legal council. His antics in this thread suggest that he will not be a good, sound-of-mind, partner in a legal battle.
"Ah, the classic ‘We get it, now shut up’ defense.
A true intellectual powerhouse of an argument. Bravo.
I mean - you're not listening to anyone else's cogent arguments and just talking in circles - so what would you expect someone to say?
But here’s the thing—you don’t get it, and that’s precisely why I’m still here.
Ah yes, tell people what you think they know when they're in point of fact telling you that they think something different, that'll get people to rally around your side of the table!
You don’t get that when a business consistently engages in unethical behavior, it doesn’t just go away because a few people have ‘accepted’ it.
I'm not seeing people pretend that it goes away, I'm seeing people register that there is a pattern of bad behavior and with that information we hope that we spread information when asked by potential new customers of theirs - this is a forum to share information, not an activists meeting point.
You don’t get that silence enables bad actors to keep doing what they do.
Nobody is saying be silent you nitwit, they're saying dont be an ******* and DOX people.
You don’t get that the more people speak up, the harder it is for businesses like this to sweep things under the rug.
The rug is not being swept - people have spoken up and are not being silenced about their firsthand experiences - you're just being asked to put your pitchfork away and have a reasonable discussion - not expect us to be your echo chamber of outrage on some (probably) bad business dealings that you're angry about.
And, most importantly, you don’t get that you don’t have to be here.
I mean - pot, meet kettle.
No one’s forcing you to read. No one’s forcing you to engage. If the discussion bothers you so much, you have every right to walk away.
As do you - and nobody really had an issue until you were doing sheisty things and being an ***.
But let’s be real—you won’t.
Because deep down, you love the drama. You love the back and forth.
You just don’t love that the conversation doesn’t go the way you want it to.
Jesus, that's rich - take some time and have some introspection - then tell me if what you you just said isn't one of the funniest bits of hypocrisy you've ever seen someone type out on the interwebs. We'll wait.
So if you want to keep yelling into the void, be my guest.
But don’t pretend you’re above it when you’re still here, hanging on every word."
I’ve had meaningless threads on other social media platforms reach thousands—I guess.
But never have I had so many people engage with me like this, on a forum.
I didn't realize how significant forums could be until now.
See, I walked in just stating facts—nothing more.
Yet somehow, the crybabies on this forum turned it into a movement.
And while they were busy arguing, deflecting, and typing away,
I was watching my analytics spike.
I mean, I never expected my other social media pages to gain this much traction from a mug shop posted on a FORUM.
I haven’t even put effort into marketing yet—
I’m too busy building court cases, handling real business.
Yet somehow, this thread alone has sent ridiculous traffic my way.
And honestly? I’m shocked.
I told myself, "If this thread gets close to 50 additional posts about me, I’ll just start writing poetry."
Because why not? I already have an audience.
I've always wanted to experiment with poetry—
So I’d like to know what the audience thinks. Here’s my first RX7-related poem:
"I’m not a rapper, but I grew up on the streets in New York, where words mattered—
Every syllable’s a move, slip once and your shattered.
Stay in control, max steering angle, tires staggered—
Sideways through the chaos, deliberately losing track—
Quick clutch kick, ****** back the traction for a reaction.
The haters can't see me, but the real crews do,
My reach? 100% organic—off the strength of what haters do."
"The real conversation ain’t here, but if you cared, you’d see it there.
You’re caught up in the noise, while I’m cool, calm, and poised.
You’re like a bitch on a track, swallowing Brap Brap Brap,
Meanwhile, I’m built different—steady hands, no despair."
"You’re not built like me, that much is clear,
Hopefully, this time, that vision appears."
See, I walked in just stating facts—nothing more.
Yet somehow, the crybabies on this forum turned it into a movement.

I think what you are missing is that you didn't come in here and just "state facts"
You dropped some old mug shots with Zero "facts" associating them to any particular issue with the business. Not much different than if we were to find a teenage photo of you holding a can of spray paint (maybe you were painting a model car or just maybe you were painting the side of a building.) then trying to associate you with all the graffiti around the city and calling everybody to go after you for it. I'm pretty sure you didn't actually read this thread because this isn't a Support thread for the company. People posted specific details of their beef with the company. You have provided Zero. Just vague claims about your involvement with the company. I feel you are just speaking in circles trolling at this point for attention from the looks of it.....and now you are writing poetry. How can anybody take you seriously if you can't back a single claim of yours up with data? If you have all the dirt you say you do, then why not just take it to who needs to know it and take the company down? Should be pretty easy with how you are talking if it is that obvious.
I've never done business with Pettit so I don't have any personal experience with them. I have known several people that had builds or have purchased items from Pettit over the past 20 years without issue. (This is more evidence than you have offered and more reason to do business with them based on the factual data I personally have seen) Transparency is key here and you are being the opposite. If you plan on being associated or part of another shop in the future and people were to dig this thread up and tie it to you, they would probably not want to go to that shop just because of how you are acting on here. I don't know anything about you nor have I done any research on you but I know the rotary community needs good people in it. Please don't be one of the ones that just stir up drama. If you have products to offer, the market is great right now and companies are flourishing if they offer a great product and customer service, JP3 is a perfect example of this. Instead of making vague claims on a forum about a shop that probably won't be around for long if it is how you say it is, take advantage of that and step into a spot that may need to be filled in the near future. Do something positive with your energy and skillset.
The Forum vs. Reality: A Popularity Contest in Disguise
The first person to say anything? G Racer 7RX7.
And you know what? His comment was direct.
He made his point, he took it down, and that was that.
No back and forth, no dragging it out—he handled it like a statesman.
But then? The trolls smelled blood.
Like a bunch of condo commandos, sitting behind their keyboards,
waiting for the signal to pounce—
because for them, this isn’t about truth. It’s about popularity.
The second G Racer made his move,
they thought, "Oh, he beat him up, now we gotta pile on!"
Like schoolyard kids following the loudest voice,
thinking they’re landing punches,
when all they’re really doing is boosting my numbers.
Because let’s be real—I didn’t argue.
If the guy who actually runs things said, "This is tasteless,"
then fine, it’s done. I moved on.
But you? Y’all just couldn’t help yourselves.
And here’s the kicker— I don’t need this attention.
But since you’re giving it to me? I’ll take it.
I’ll take every comment, every post, every reaction—
because good publicity, bad publicity—it’s all marketing.
And while you’re over here burning calories trying to “take me down,” the analytics don’t lie.
Every click, every mention, every thread boost— more eyes on me.
More traffic.
More engagement. More branding.
And let’s talk about Cam.
Y’all keep acting like I don’t know the game.
Like I haven’t been around real minds.
But let me tell you something— I know Cam.
I’ve known Cam for a long time.
And Cam taught me something important:
💡 A single part needs to do at least three things.
But me?
I take parts that do five.
I took what I learned, pushed it beyond what Cam could even dream of.
And that’s why—while you’re busy trying to tear me down— I’m still building.
So yeah, you made me look.
But in the words of Nas: "You a slave to a page in my rhyme book."
Wow. This is like a car crash that you can't look away from, and it just keeps getting worse.
Since you are so much better than the forum mob, why not tell us about 3 things Cam said a part needs to do vs the 5 you think it should do. And how that is relevant to business practices and scams. And inform us of the actual issues you've experienced or witnessed.
Also, what is this publicity and marketing you are referring to? Are you selling something?

Could you imagine how the forum commandos would respond to a hint of self-promotion? Without an invite from the committee, posting anything other than childish minutiae would be like suicide. Nevertheless, you don't have to be Columbo to find me. This thread is like a popularity contest based on posturing, who has the coolest book bag.
Guys. I hate to blow the top off all this... but here it goes. Prepare to be COMPLETELY underwhelmed.
OpenSource RX7 is some guy named Avery Marriott.
"Who?" Yeah. Exactly.
If he was flattered someone looked up his post history on here, he's going to feel incredibly special once he reads this dissertation.
Most of what he has said IS complete bullshit. But with most lies, there are shreds of truth. It looks like he HAS worked with Pettit, but as best as I can see, he's been nothing more than a photographer / videographer. He's also only been in Florida (according to his FB) for a couple years, so I'm not sure where the 10 year timeline comes from. Either way, if you check some of his videos - there are some inside Pettit Racing's shop.
That's not the weird part though. The weird part is, he has two other IG accounts (maybe more, I lost interest). One seems to be his personal account and the other is the account tied to his screen name here. The personal account is completely uninteresting.
The other one though has a link to a website. To not give him any unearned clicks, I'm not going to post the URL. But, I can show you the most interesting part about it.
Other than the "RotaryFiction Apparel" and "RotorHead Supplements" (no, seriously). It's very underwhelming. Until you click "Racing Engines":
So. There ya go. It's like pulling off the mask in Scooby Do and seeing old man Lopez.
Not passing judgement - but especially weird a CLR cheerleader is on a Pettit bashing thread.
Also, since this guy has a knack for using AI to generate images. It's probably safe to assume he also used AI to generate text, which is why so many responses are so odd.
I vote to delete everything before 2025 on this thread and ban this fool OpenSource RX-7.
This dude is like a cross between Gary Busey and Joe Biden. Perhaps they have the same talent agent? This is awesome. Subscribed.
See, here’s what I don’t get —
You got time to type out some sideways insult,
throwin’ my name around like I’m not right here,
but you can’t just address me directly?
Dude, what is a dude?
As if I’m not reading this thread.....
Why not just say it?
Why not own it?
Why not look me in the digital eye and say:
"Hey, you remind me of Gary Busey with a touch of Joe Biden."
What, you scared?
You gotta lob it out there for the forum commandos
to pick up, to endorse, to co-sign —
like a middle-schooler passing notes, hoping the class laughs?
Are you speaking to me, or are you speaking to the peanut gallery?
Because I’m right here, dude.
And Let’s Break Down That Comparison.
Gary Busey? Wild. Unpredictable. Unfiltered.
Okay, I’ll take that —
because at least Busey owns his chaos.
Joe Biden? C’mon, man.
A guy who stumbles through sentences,
who’s not loud, not boisterous, not in your face—
you compare me to that?
It doesn’t even make sense.
I get it, you’re trying to be funny,
but at least make the joke land.
So Here’s the Deal.
Next time?
If you got something to say, just say it.
No need to throw it to the wolves,
no need to look for backup or validation.
Because if you were really built for this? You’d say it to me, not about me.
Alright, let’s hand out some honest recognition before we move forward.
First off—CREEPENJEEPEN, you’re the one really thinking hard.
You saw what was happening and actually processed it.
Maybe you don’t fully agree with me, maybe you do,
but at least you took a step back and thought critically.
That’s rare these days, so props to you.
AplsScrambles—you already know, you get respect.
You kept it direct. No fluff, no validation-seeking.
Just said what you meant and meant what you said.
I can appreciate that.
And then… TwinCharged RX7.
Bruh. You walked into a pile of 💩 without even realizing it.
Nothing personal—I just understand forum culture now.
I get how these threads move, how people position themselves,
how it turns into a performance instead of a conversation.
Because I’ll be real—I never really engaged in a forum like this before.
This is the first time I really experienced how this plays out.
So Now the Real Question—What’s Next?
Do we keep arguing like children?
Do we let this thread keep spiraling into more of the same,
or do we actually do something productive with it?
Here’s the real kicker: $5 billion was just invested into AI by the government. Joe Biden didn’t do that.
The machine did. The progress did. The need for it did.
And guess what? I’m using it.
I assume y’all are using it in some capacity too.
So why not exchange notes?
Why not redirect this energy into something real?
Why not take this momentum and make it worth something?
Because we can keep throwing punches at the air,
or we can actually build something together.
What’s it gonna be? More noise, or something worth listening to?
Guys. I hate to blow the top off all this... but here it goes. Prepare to be COMPLETELY underwhelmed.

All in favor?
The site is under construction, but we are moving along.
The Last Word – No Hijack, Just Facts
Alright, so y’all figured it out. That’s me.
I’m working with Carlos Lopez.
But let’s set the record straight— hijacking this thread was never my intention.
It started as something completely different,
but along the way, the forum commandos did what they do best— made it about me.
Fine. So here’s the truth. No fluff, no games.
🔹 Yes, I’m working with Carlos Lopez.
🔹 Yes, I respect what he does.
🔹 Yes, I’m documenting his work because his story needs to be told.
But here’s what y’all don’t know:
Carlos isn’t just an engine builder.
He’s a cancer survivor.
A man who almost died, lost organs, fought back, and still came out building some of the most precise rotary engines in the game.
He’s got a lot to say.
And when the time comes, he’ll say it. And when that moment hits, trust me—it’ll be out there.
But again, let me be clear:
🔹 This was never about hijacking the thread for me or Carlos.
🔹 The conversation just went in that direction—and yeah, AI made it easy.
Now, the real elephant in the room?
🔹 I am suing Cam.
So if y’all thought this was just forum entertainment,
if you thought this was all just for kicks—nah. This is real.
If you want to keep playing the forum back-and-forth game, go ahead.
But if you actually want to know what’s happening,
you know where to find me.

Reason: Closing argument?
I always enjoyed the forums because like it or not, it was a way to establish a decent dialog between enthusiasts. With an easily verified post history and tools like “Likes” and iTrader feedback it was easier to separate the wheat from the chaff. The brightest minds always shined.
People like Howard Coleman, Gordon Monson, and even Jim Lebreck could post ideas, flesh them out, refer to older theories and help push the platform forward.
We lost that with social media. Sure, some of the bright minds are still there. But the interaction is usually more of a pissing contest than an archived discussion. Whatever points were made are gone after a week and everyone shakes the etch a sketch and begins again.
”Wait. That guy was a scammer? Damn. He got another one.”
”Huh? That’s not how you diagnose an issue. Shoot. Back to square one.”
”Hey. I have a question. Yes, it’s the same question asked monthly. But because there’s no archive, I can’t just ‘search’.”
Anyhow. Not to say trolls like this guy didn’t exist before. It’s just sad to see the evolution (devolution?) of people like this and even more sad to see their reintroduction to the forums in this manner.
With no mods that are active or willing to take action (I get it, the forums are generally dead)… and who knows, maybe the Internet Brands overlords LIKE this kind of stuff because at least the negativity boosts interaction and interaction is clicks and clicks are money baby!!!
It’s all just sad. That’s all.

If this guy is associated with CLR Motorsports, that makes me not want to give that company the time of day. Possibly some of the worst PR you can give a company is starting drama on a forum which he says "he just understands." which obviously he doesn't because as @MattGold stated, forums are pretty simple and should be used like his examples. If this is the type of people that work for and represent CLR Motorsports, stay far away, they are probably much worse than what they claim Pettit to be.
Unfortunately this is a sign of a lot of the incoming generation. Instead of this person being able to have logical conversations about something, he resorts to AI. I've had many interviews where my candidates were trying to use AI to pass their interview during the process (I do many of the technical interviews for the companies I've been with over the years.) People like this are going to have a real tough time making it through life trying to lean on others to think for them even if it is software that is not well refined at this time.
It is always sad to read about businesses in the rotary community having issues or behaving badly. It is even sadder reading about rotary brothers and sisters getting screwed over.
Let's get back to modding and fixing our cars and helping each other.
