What's garbage?

I want to simplify and clean up the engine bay. I also want to eliminate variables to make trouble-shooting easier and get rid of future potential problems. I'm switching to non-sequential, but what else can be removed, that is, useless crap. I think whoever dsigned the FD made it to complex and also difficult to troubleshoot. I know like the EGR valve, air pump and ACV, AST (going with Evans coolant), anything else? What about the charcoal canister, fuel pressure dampner, anything that can go, I want it gone.

Take out the rotors. Hahahaha. Relocate your battery and switch to flush mount lights will clean up a little of the engine bay.

The battery is already relocated, helped alot, I had thought about the lights also. Figured that would make it much cleaner looking, although never seen engine bay with flush mounts. I'm mostly interested in little things like EGR valve and charcoal canister and **** like that. Know of crap like that. Oh, like the double-throttle control. Any websites on how to remove that crappy useless stuff?

enter the site, and then goto "how-to's" should tell you how to disable the double throttle, etc..

Well the charcoal canister is in front of the gas tank, that won't help you much in the bay other than the removing the purge control solenoid behind the alternator and the catch tank under the elbow. Plus it'll hinder gas mileage to take it out.

You can move relays, get rid of the ABS, and take the idle pulley bracket off along with the AC and PS if you really want to. That'll clean up the entire driver's side.

I figured as much ... I'm originally from Texas, too. You could still take the PS pump out of that setup, though.

Would it be a good idea to loose the PS with 18" wheels? Might be hard to steer. Know anyone without the PS with 18's?
