Go with the supra, OEM quality, drop-in, and totally quiet.

I've never heard the Walbro hum in a FD, I have in other cars though. maybe the FD's tank is pretty thick and insulated or something.

They are both fine, use which ever its not going to matter

If the Supra pump is doing what it is supposed to do, I wouldn't mess with it. BTW, most people would rather not hear the fuel pump.

ok, but isn't the Walbro 255lph too small to support a single turbo?

(lets take into account that is what he has, may not be correct)

The constant whine from the Walbro 255lph HO pump that I used to have drove me crazy. I vote for the Supra pump.

Just read up that there are two versions of the Walbro 255.
GSS307 [255 ltr/hr]
GSS340 [high pressure 255]
They put a different pressure-relief spring in a standard 255 ltr/hr pump that raises the output of the pump above 50 psi of fuel pressure._

The GSS307/GSS340 are comparable to the GSS317/GSS342 that go in the Hondas. The high pressure pump has significantly more power above about 50 psi.

I've seen this graph with a Supra TT pump and it's pretty comparable to the GSS342.

I was about to install mine today. It is stamped GSS431.(ebay $90 shipped!) The chart is showing that it is identical to the GSS432, but they cant be exactly the same because of the different stock numbers. Anybody know?

The flow ratings of both the supra and the walbro have been posted before. The supra flows just a tad more.(260lph?) So if you have both, keep the supra pump IMO.

As for the walbro question on a single turbo application, I believe if you're going with anything of decent size(t04s on up) I'd go ahead and at least try to find a used supra pump. Or you could do two walbro's.

As for the question of walbro's failing, I believe this has been discussed and it probably would be easier to search and find the answer.
