Trade my RX-7 for an NSX.
Thanks everybody for the input about the NSX that i'm planning to get. To be honest, after reading everybodys input about the NSX, i'm thinking not to get it anymore because all of the expensive mods and maintance that cost. The RX-7 on the other hand is much cheaper to maintain. Maybe in the future, if have the extra cash on hand then maybe, i'll get one just for the hell of it. Thanks again for everybodys input for the NSX.

I'm actually picking one up this weekend.
Just my opinion. But I'd trade an FD for an NSX anyday. Higher resale value, great handling if not better than the FR car. Naturally aspirated makes it more reliable. WHo'd want to boost up a C30/C32 engine anywayse.... Sounds kinda redneckish to me (sorry for the crude humor). Okay, so you have to drop the motor to add headers, but you did know that putting on headers on an NSX gives it more HP than a B18C5 with DC Sport headers. Even though I dont know too much about rotaries. I usually hear the "seals are bad" or "it needs a rebuild". And especially since its turbocharged.... I've owned plenty of turbo'd vehicles and only a couple N/A cars and never had a problem with the N/A ones. But I do have to admit it, its a tough decision but I guess its just my opinion. And I have more of an "investor's point of view" more so than the other viable options.
I don't get all these people saying the NSX is mroe rare than the FD. Thats just a boldface lie. I see as many, if not more, NSX's than FDs.
But I can see where you're coming from, they look pretty cool, I'm just not a fan of the mid-engine and HUGE price tag to mod.
EDIT: I'd also like to note I did a lot of research on all cars when I was looking for what I wanted, and to be honest, I heard nothing about the NSX being expensive to maintain. I know it is expensive to mod, but as far as maintence goes, I really didn't see anything that said that. :/

Mid engine cars are nice, a couple friends of mines own MR2's and I've had the chance to test drive a NSX. Feels nice, but I just love how FR's feel. Its also easier to regain control in a Front lay out than it is a Mid engine layout. Thats why you dont see any D1 guys drifting any NSX's now do ya?
well in my view both cars are expensive. this isn't your 90's mustang wars hear. These are two premire japanese cars. The rx7 is a cheaper car to purchase and to do mods to. Plus with just some tires could handle with the best of them. The nsx is a beautiful overpriced car. i looked at a 94 with 80,000 on it and they still wanted right at 50,000. Thanks but no thanks. i would pick a vette or a ferrari 360 gts before i picked that up.

As much as I like NSX's I'd take a common Vette as daily driver over one any day of the week.
More power, faster, cheaper to maintain and better gas mileage! Where's my gold chain and high school girl friend?

******* NSX *****!
I had the worst experienced with TWO NSX, supposed to be owners.. I'm telling you, they are worse than some teens I've dealt with here on this forum...
1. I bought some aftermarket wheels from an NSX guy for my future NSX.. The sell told me that they are in great shape and only has small scuffs and that its "straight" and balanced.
I get the rims and like he said, it had minor scuffs, but the back side of the rims were badly scuffed all the way around, all four wheels!! On top of that, there were no inner weights so that the inside of the tires were totally cupped! So, I asked the seller, I'll be happy if he just paid for balancing the tires... He initially said he did get them "high speed" balanced and that even though he doesn't think its his fault, he will paypal me the money for the balancing the wheels.. Next day, He changes his mind and tells me that I got a great deal on the wheels and if I don't want them, I should sell them to someone else... WHAT A ******* *****!!
Yesterday, Me, AbadR1, and SPOautos drive down to Florida to look at this NSX that I been negotiating price on. The seller tells me that the paint is in good condition and he said, "I challenge you to find a flaw in my paint". We go down there and the seller met up with us at DaleClark's house. My initial walk around, I found defects on EVERY SINGLE PANELS OF THE CAR.
Some spots were repainted and it was done so poorly, I could see the sanding scratches 4-5 feet away.
The seller also told me that there were no oil leaks nor burned any oil. When we jacked up the car, the underside was COVERED in oil!
I'm telling you, I was So ******* pissed! we drove 4-5 hours to FL and it could of be avoided if this ****** would of told me the truth. He didn't even know where the jack points were. ****** moron!

Most NSX owners I've met are elitist ******.
As for the Crystal Cove met who gives a rats @$$? I don't see any Supras there either and they are just as fast or faster than a lot of the cars there. If you want to be some elitist member with your car you don't purchase a Japanese car to begin with.

As you could tell, I'm bitter as hell! And the other guy who sold me his rims, think I don't know what the **** I'm talking about and thinks he got them balanced...
All I could say is, I learned my lesson with these dumb **** want a bee car enthusiast NSX *****! Next time I see one on the road, I'll ******* show them whats UP!..
The NSX has the cache for snobbery because it was built under a luxury brand, in conjunction with significant F1 success, and it cost $85k. It doesn't look or perform better than an FD in any respect.
There' some vague notion of "honda quality" and/or mythical mid-engined advantage, but the bottom line is you can smoke these things on road or track all day long, so unless your goal is to "belong" at one of those car shows, I fail to see the point.

Sorry I tried. Most know what they are doing. I bought my car and could not figure out the 70+mph steering wheel shake. Went down the list. I don't know how they did it but the inside of both front wheel edges had a chunk missing and scratched all the way around.
OK..........used car I need wheels. I go on NSXPrime 1 of the longest members and has had 2-3 NSX's his name is something like White NXS he sells HID kits for the NSX Club and is a Doctor in SF. He lists a set of white Volks for sale. I talk to him and get them. I put new tires on and one rear wheel has about a half inch woble
. The tire guy shows it to me on the balance. I call and call well I get a hold of him and he's like the last guy bought them and said the same thing. He didn't ******* tell me he already sold and returned them to someone?
I got the wheel straitened but than had to powder-coat the whole set to get them to match. So now I have ~3k in a used set of Volks.
Anyway.......I may be lucky but I have never had anybody **** me like that on here.
I'm selling the car and taking the loss. Just from the NSX ***** I've met. If you get an NSX I have every trick part for the car from Comptech: http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...need/?start=20
Make you a great deal.
Elitist ******? I don't know, how about "******* lying dick wannabe exotic slow *** car owning **** wads" sounds better to me.
I'm out of the NSX **** (I'm usually not a hater or stereotypical but)...........That's what I've been trying to say.

The seller in FL just emailed me. And now makes me sound like I'm some cheap poor bastard (even though I took the money out of my checking.. not thru a loan). The ****** is saying, "you will either pay more for what you want or you will be getting the car on your 60th birthday". What a ******* *****! I've spend more money on my 7s than this **** spent on past 8 years on this piece of ****. He was so ******* cheap he couldn't even detail his car and getting $100 Macco paint job.
I'm telling you this **** and the other **** who sold me the wheels (whom now avoiding my PMs, as I could see that he's reading it). What a "******* lying dick wannabe exotic slow *** car owning **** wads"!!!
And you're right! I've never had any 7 owners dick me around like these old NSX retards.. They'll get what they deserve... and I'm out too!! Not that I've got in it before.
