Trade my RX-7 for an NSX.
As much as i do agree with that... i personally think a FC looks more like a door stop... (thats me)
the NSX is a sweet car buddy of mine is looking to get one once hes done school... they are sweet but i would rather have an FD,FC, and FB (then you got some different cars.. kinda)
i like the NSX but to me it just screams 1990!!! i like the FD.. some people dont even know what year it is.. its shape and curves cannot be dated they are smooth perfect combination of Grace and beauty

Old threads popping back up! LOL!
I still have bad taste in my mouth about NSX... used to love them but after my last incident with some NSX owners, NEVER would I buy it.. My experience with idiots at NSX prime (most of them) just made me more of a diehard FD owner now (3 x FDs)...

when my dad looked for a new sports car he compared the NSX to the RX-7 he could afford either one. obviously he chose the seven does that say something.. look at the specs of the fd its just as good as a nsx. and nsxs are depreciating and RX7s are appreciating.

Knowing what I know now, if there were two cars in front of me for the same price: 1 FD and 1 NSX, my money would go to the NSX. However, the NSX's still aren't in the FD price range (and the difference was a lot bigger when I bought my FD back around '98) so its still a moot point.

LOL @ not getting an nsx because of how other nsx owners act.
Not trying to act like a dick, i seriously thought thats funny.
It seems like most nsx owners arent "engineering minded" like most FD guys are (or try to be). I wonder how much better the nsx could be if large groups of people poured tons of development time into them like the FD. Think about the knowledge base for rx7s now compared with ....say...1998. HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!
Tough choice for me i guess. I love nsx's and FD's. Both sound like a clusterf**K of problems either way.
I dont think id pick a car based on the other owners though. I had a sweet FC and i didnt hang out with FC poeple all the time or anything. I will give it to rx7 people though, they love talking cars and hanging out. THumbs up for that...

There is a thread on the NSXprime called RX7 vs NSX.... or NSX vs RX7
http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45175
It was started back in Jan 2005 and people are still talking about it.. And you will see that there are previous FD owners who have moved on to NSX. When you start reading it, bunch of stuff are BS and they all think NSX is the best sports car ever made! And I totally agree!!! I'm going to sell my cars and pick up an NSX and start acting like its THE BEST, the most reliable, and the amazing track car ever BUILT!! All the FD owners should do the same

i think you should drive the nsx and then keep the car you like best .... its that easy! Ive had skyline,supra,300zx,M3,impreza RA "i import japanes cars" And i still like the rx7 best... it feels so good to drive... easy to use. And most of all i like the looks.... I dont care if my car breaks down "2 times now" i still like it, and i got the money to fix it. I gonna keep this car to i die.
I do feel bad for herblenny and jeff shoots though. They really both had bad experiences. That "you will always be driving a cheap import" was particularly bad. Sounds like that NSX'er thinks he drives and Aston Martin or something. I like NSX's, but seriously, thats way out of line...
Rx7 club vs Prime for pinks? Now thats a good idea!!!! You would have to have it at 6am though, old people (prime) like to get up early and be done in time to watch matlock in the afternoon. Rx7's would destroy those poor nsx's.......assuming they will all start correctly ;-)
I suppose it could be also argued that a NSX at 60k makes a 3rotor FD look "economical" for performance ;-)

Is the batman on nsxprime the same batman on this forum?
Either way, those nsx owners are ********. No one mentioned that their car cost twice as much as the FD brand new.
Nsx's are awesome cars but they give no credit.

I wouldn't feel sorry for Jeff just yet. He's started tracking his NSX.
I'm debating whether my next car is going to be a NSX or an Exige. I'm toying with the idea of getting an earlier model NSX and gutting it for a pure track car. However, I like the idea of not having to wrench on anything myself and just getting an Exige to just enjoy "driving".

friend of mine had an nsx with over 600hp, of course it was supercharged and using NOS. But it was a damn quick. Nice cars, I'd never get rid of both of my fds for an nsx. Maybe owning both would be nice... but I enjoy my fd's more than any other car I've driven. I am too tall for an NSX anyway, those things are built for people under 6 feet tall.

It all comes down to money. Some NSX owner can spend more money and beat your car, then another RX7 owner can spend more money and beat both cars. Then a Supra can come along. Whoopie.
the NSX is a great car but it looks dated...and without a supercharger, forget it, I smoke them easily
the FD suits my "motorcycle on wheels", drive like a maniac, style, and it's beautifully politically incorrect
I think I'd own a supercharged C5 before an NSX
