Question Street Porting

Hey I was wondering ABOUT how much would it cost to street port a standard 13B-REW motor? Considering that the motor is in fine running condition, etc.

It's a $300-$400 "option" that is "added" to the cost of a rebuild ...you would allready be doing. It is not something that is done on a working engine.

if your going to port the rotor housings, your going to need to break the entire engine apart. and while your at it, you might as well replace the seals.

If you're pulling it apart to do the street port, why not clean it up a bit?

since there is already a thread started i also have another question. i am rebuilding my engine right now, well just started anyways and i am planning on getting the street porting done to the housings. what i want to know is who do you guys recommend to do the porting. i talked to jason(i think) at atkins rotary like a month ago about it, he said 300 for the housings to be ported. just want some opinions on whos really good with porting jobs, thanks guys

Look for someone local in your area to do it. It'll save you money on shipping those damn housings to atkins and back to you. I'm planning on rebuilding an engine soon to and this is the way I'm going.

you can port an engine that doesnt need a rebuild, but it will cost you shitloads

i live in baltimore, and dont know of anyone local that ports rotary engines

Just ship them off to gotham racing in dallas. Call them on the phone, they will set everything up.
