hey guy i was wondering how many of them were made. and how much you think it would cost to get one in north america. jsut some thing i thought of when i was bored thanks

I don't believe that many were made and it would be extremely cost prohibitive to get one over here. I'm looking at moving to Japan in hopes of landing a newer right hand drive FD. I can bring one back with me thanx to the military, but it will still cost me a good sum of money. Just thought I would throw in my .02 Laterz.

I believe they were onl made in 2002 and ended producting mid to late august. THey were mazda's last big bang with the Fd.

thanks guys yeah i was just wondering. i dont have th cash to get one. so they are 2002 thats sweet how are the diff from a 93 and a 99spec ?

RotaryFDTT is correct. They were only '02 models and didn't even finish out a full production year. The run ended in August of '02.

1500 made? Is that all Spirit Rs? Or just the TYPE A?

If you want a Spirit R you can find them very easy in Japan used with like 500km, less then 350miles on the car. PM me and I can hook you up with someone and a webpage
