modding the recaro tilt rail

i was curious if anyone had any info on how to mod the tilt rail for the rz/spirt r seat to make the RHD driver side rail work for LHD driver side. i read in a thread that a "simple cut and weld" would make it compatible but i have no idea what or where to cut and weld.

The one tube that slides and gets mounted to the frame behind the seat would need to be cut off and welded to the other side. Other than that I can't see any differences.
