power steering question

my power steering reservior has cracked and is losing alot of power steering fluid. so my question is if i drive around without any fluid will it be fine or will something else break?

running the pump w/out fluid may ruin the PS pump, i'd assume the fluid doubles as lubricant for the pump and without it...it will eat itself. (just a guess)

My friends volvo ran out of fluid and started to make really strange noises so i would assume engberg is right.

take the ps/ac belt off and youll be fine till you get it fixed
