so I ported the wastegate today is there anything else I should do while there out im keeping it seq

Port the center section where the flapper hits, that will allow the flapper open wider.

Just ported mine today, 1st picture is stock and 2nd picture is ported, you can see the flapper have room to open a little wider.

Make sure you get new gaskets for the oil and coolant line.

Yes, I port it to the point where the arm hits the downpipe same time as the flapper hits the center section, if you gone too far you can always grind down the downpipe flange just a little, plenty of material to take out there.

If the arm hits the down pipe connection, I have more than once ground down the arm to make clearance for a wider opening flap action. You can only take out so much material before the back of the flap hits the turbo exhaust manifold. If I want more breath ability, I will take material out of the turbo exhaust housing to make room for the flapper to move. Too much= cracked iron at that point.
