Question Losing Compression

Ive been trying to look this up but i cant find it. There are only 2 of us in our group that like the rotary's, me and my friend and he said that he found out that if you dont start them every day they loose compression, but i let my FC sit for like 2 1/2 years when i went to japan and i just put a new ECU in it and it started right up. I just wonder if this is the same as the FD also. All info will help and some links to prove it?

It's not that they loose compression. The springs can stick and cause the apex seals to not seal properly, thus lower compression. But there isn't anything that really "expires" just sitting.

Is there any evidence that can prove this?

Just look search around the forum (try using "stuck seal MMO"). You can search for people using Marvel Mystery Oil and such to help loosen stuck seals/springs from motors which have been sitting for long periods of time.

It's about an FC but they are basically the same when it comes to issues like this.

I used ATF (automatic transmission fluid) on my FC, it helped some. You can search up ATF too.
