Fb running! post questions

I am feeling pretty pumped, I have resurected a 1982 rx7 that has been sitting for over 10 years. It started and stayed running! New to carbs (use to tune by laptop, tuning by screw driver is new to me). So post rx7 questions so the car will stay running and stay reliable.

The cats broke off the exhaust manifold so I installed a RB Header on to it. I still have the exhaust post cat that wraps over the axle. It is not a long term solution but can I make a "Test Pipe" that connects the header to the rest of the exhaust? If I do, will it make my ears bleed because I eliminated the cats. This thing is super loud on open header.

OMP, installed new one and it seems to be working but there are air bubbles in the plastic lines, it should be solid oil right? Maybe I didn't let the system bleed out quite yet. (the gas in there is premixed with 2 cycle so it would minimize damage if the OMP wasn't working)

It feels like I am forgetting something, any post running advice for this little 12a? I haven't done a compression test but I am hoping it has all of its compression. I know the seals don't like to sit and hopefully by starting up I haven't done any damage to the engine. It seems like it is running pretty good which makes me optimistic that everything is fine.

Going to take it out for a small drive later today and have fingers crossed it will drive fine. Feels good when a car that has sat for so long gets life back into it!!!

The OMP will have the bubbles/gaps. Not a big deal. The amount of oil is metered by the throttle/RPM. If you don't mind premixing, it's a good idea as a backup as you state.

Might be a good idea to drain the radiator and block and add fresh water/antifreeze.

You also might add some SeaForm to the gas to clean any carbon.

If it is running smooth, then the seals are ok and you don't need to do a compression test. When one apex seal went on my car, the engine sounded like crap. And the car ran like crap.

Check to oil metering pump since the engine has been sitting so long.
