Just finished my single installation

This is the Gotham manifold with the GT40/T4 "blowzilla" and a M2 large stock mount...it was a pain in the ***! But it's finished and everything appears to be working fine.

I was wondering though, I have a Tial 40mm WG and it seems like the boost is creeping from 10psi after abotu 5000rpm up to close to 15psi. Is this WG too small for the aplication or have I maybe hooked somehting up weird. Thanks for any help on that.

From what I've read and heard from other forum members, the air flow from all those sharp angles is going to be hindered tremendously. Is there a way you can clock your compressor housing so you can use fewer bends? Also, you might want to use a 180 deg mandrel bent pipe to piece it together (like the outlet side) so you would eliminate the sharp angles.

Good job on the intake side - looks like you've hooked up your vaccum hoses to the letter of the law:

- one vac hose to the oil injectors
- one vac hose to the catch can, then off to the oil filler neck.

but I'd have to agree with the above comments - better flow from that hairdryer if you utilize smooth, mandrel bends on the turbo outlet side. Regardless, if you laid the beads on the piping, excellent fabrication work!!!

Thanks on noticing the vacuum lines, hopefully contributes to a healthy happy rotary

As far as the bends, I could have made more cuts to reduce the sharp edges but keep the same radius. My issue was hood clearance and there isn't much of it. A mandrel bend is not tight enough to make that curve, not the one off of the turbo that is.

As for the welding I couldn't possibly claim it. It was a guy at my base's Auto Skills Center, the guy is a master welder, amazing really. The great part was I only paid shop time for all of the welding, which amounted to about $25 for all the welding on the pipes, plus I bought the material and did all the cutting and fitment. Not bad for my first hack at making this stuff, but I couldn't have done it without them.

Hey Jon,

Saw you on 412 last sunday. Figured you were headed out to the lake. Your FD makes me hate my lack of one, and helped to convince my wife in letting me buy one. lol

Catch Can

I might be a little concerned with the catch can being over the exhaust manifold. Any leaking of either the hoses or can could result in serious fire.

It would seem if you clocked the compressor clockwise about 90 degees you'll have less bends. Looks good though.
