Im in the market to get a new power FC w/commander, preferrably from a place that you guyys have had experience with before. So far whats the cheapest you guyys have seen them go for and where? Site? shop?

 

ebay, but very untrustworthy, rx7.com has a good deal $980.. most online shops run 1100-1300

 

$790-$800 shipped straight from japan includes power fc and commander. Contact eyecandy he is getting a group buy together for us.

http://www.jappartsspecialist.com sells them for around $820-830 or so with commander. I bought mine from them off Ebay - SUPER quick shipping and great communication, no probs. They sell direct and on Ebay, BTW.

The only prob with buying from Japan is you don't get a warranty. But, the PowerFC's are pretty hardy.

That is w/o commander though.

I would go with rx7.com or Gotham if they will match price. Both are very dependable shops.

 

I bought from them also. I would check both their Ebay store and their own website. When I bought mine, I originally found them on Ebay and checked their site and had it $20 cheaper on his site.. Few months later I was just bumming on the site and it was a little bit higher than their Ebay store. I got mine durring their Christmas special for $855 shipped.

 

Is it really worth the extra money to get it from a shop w/ the 1 year warranty from apex'i or just go with the imported units w/o the warranty or support from a shop?

 

Considering how much damage a new ecu can do I've decided to go with the rx7.com pfc with support and warranty as soon as I have the money. But then I'm planning to use whatever map they upload for my mild mods (dp,cb,intake) instead of having it tuned right away. If I was having it tuned on my car or was more knowledgeable (can't even spell it right now) myself, I'd go for one of the cheap, straight from japan, options.
