Nothing here I emailed them after they posted about losing the email with the employee or what ever happened. And haven't heard anything at all back yet that was a few weeks ago.
Same here. I’ve been waiting on an oil fill neck since April. They said to email and they would respond per the Facebook page. Nope. Funny thing is they posted in May showing they had fabricated a batch.
That's out of line.
What exactly would you have the mod team or IB do?
This isn't getting treated any differently than any other vendor
I would have the mod team or IB acknowledge IR's bad business behavior and state what actions will take place to protect members. IR's signature still states they are a vendor and there private vendor forum section is not there anymore. Are vendors given unlimited chances for bad behavior and business practices, or are we just supposed to just let bad behavior slide?
A couple years ago, I ordered an alternator from IRP and then heard crickets for a few weeks, no tracking number or anything like that. After a couple of follow-up emails went unanswered, I emailed that I would have no choice but to do a chargeback on my credit card if I was going to get no product and no communication. Someone contacted me pretty soon after I sent that email, it might have been coincidence but that's hard to prove either way. I feel like I dodged a bullet, I'm really sorry to see that so many people have had problems with big-ticket orders.
Edit to clarify, I did eventually get the alternator I paid for. Things seemed pretty smooth after I mentioned the possibility of a chargeback, but that may be a coincidence.

.....
NOTHING GIVES ANYONE THE RIGHT TO STEAL OR SCAM.
Having said that my rant is pretty much over. This thread will drift away into the past soon enough. Hopefully a few are warned and IRP knows that not everyone will sit around and let them get screwed.
IRP can and will have to deal with regardless of staffing issues. Can't run from the law son!!!!!!
.................
Thread didn't exactly drift into the past, either...who could have imagined it would go so deep and for so long.

still waiting on my fill neck that I ordered in May. They finally answered me about 2 weeks ago saying they got a large order of fill neck and ran out, so they are making more. I'm gonna doubt that many people are ordering them that they can't produce them fast enough. They probably never produce them. I emailed them last week and have yet to receive a email back.
Lets just say, keep in touch don’t let much time go between communication with them (within reason) it appears Ihor has been cleaning house and fixing some of the issues from what I can tell. After tracking this for a week the freight company said they might not deliver to my town on Friday and only maybe on Tuesday because there was not enough packages going there so I drove 3hrs round trip to pick it up. Its not the original box but to be honest…..i really couldn’t care. I was documenting the opening and inspection to be sure it was what it was supposed to be.

wait when did you place your order and I assume this was from irp correct me if I'm wrong
After reading this active 2 year long thread I got very weary of placing an order w/@IRPerformance. However, knowing they have been around for a while, I was open to giving them a chance. After all, they were the only company that has the product I was looking for (under Manifold IGN-1A coilpack mount kit). Their site is not currently accepting orders due to making a web store change, so I called them up. After a few call attempts and leaving voicemails, I finally got someone. Mel answered the call and after talking with her for a little bit, I had a sudden sense of comfort in knowing that it is safe to order with them. I won’t get into detail on the issues that IRP has had in the recent time because it’s not my place to, but there was an issue with an employee, and that person is no longer there. Mel is good people and turns out we closely have mutual friends. She has been working very hard at getting the issues straightened out, It was a mess, and I think she is going a great job! I placed my order with her and it is currently on back order as they make these in-house (I knew that going in) and will be 4-8 weeks. I will be happy to update everyone once I get my package and the timeframe it took.
Way to support a company that actively ripped people off. Keep in mind, this is not some big corporate enterprise with 1000+ employees. 1 bad individual is not a valid excuse.
Did IRP give you a big discount to post the below?
If you paid full price and are posting that out of some weird form of good will, I sure hope you actually receive your order. If you were going to take this route, why not post after receiving the goods, not before? This just cons more people into buying at risk.
While I don't have a missing engine, and received the bulk of my order after months of delays, I am still owed refunds for parts not received over a year later and have completely given up.
Tell us how comfortable you feel only after they actually deliver and after they've addressed their wrongs. Lots of us have had calls to be made to feel comfortable only to then get the runaround.
That was not a paid promotion. I only posted now, before receiving my order, because I felt maybe people would like an updated experience and possible explanation. And I think your “1 bad individual is no excuse” is a little backwards. If it was 1,000+ employees, one bad employee would not be an excuse, however small company with 1 bad employee has a much bigger impact.
I’m not trying to justify others’ losses and I hope they all get resolved. Like I said, just wanted to share a (so far) positive experience from them.
Please explain how my example is backwards. Complaints have been going on for years. It's a small company with a phone line, a website, social media, forum, email. If there is one bad person causing trouble and having a large impact, why not take reasonable steps to address it head on (e.g. answer the phone, commit to a resolution, and follow through). They could literally call people on this thread today and at least try. Tens of Thousands of dollars worth of undelivered engines and extremely poor customer service cannot simply be brushed off as 1 individual causing unchecked harm and is now gone, therefor everyone should feel good about ordering again.
I hope IRP comes back better than ever, but they need to make it right, not sell people on one problem maker now being gone.
I did explain my reason why I felt it was backwards in my last post. But at the same time, I did not make a post to start up anything or stir up a pot. My post was my experience. I’m not on here trying to make arguments. I’m sorry my post rubbed you in such a way that you felt like you had to attack my words.
Again, not on her to argue. I hope you have a great weekend!

The note about the phone lines being down “but you can just email us” was a real doozy, I suppose they qualify as an equal opportunity ignorer …
but glad to see someone finally receive an engine after an entirely unnecessary several year wait …
they have been getting smaller orders out, but try to put yourself in the shoes of those people that fully paid $6000 in advance with no refunds given and 2+ years later are still without an engine while other people purchasing elsewhere are only waiting 3 - 6 months. That’s their experience.

current ETA on an FD engine is it looks like there are some coming in on August 18th, and then the next one is January 18th
so they are back to normal on the production side. if there really were 100+ orders over the summer maybe Mazda USA will order some to have in stock, although don't hold your breath on that
IRP's problem has been pretty clear for some time.....they have run out of OTHER-PEOPLES-MONEY
Exactly.... how is that network upgrade going? Are the phones back up? I have no idea why the hell anyone is ordering from these guys. If anything, they shouldn't accept ANY orders or work until they are all caught up. They claim to be so busy, then quit taking people's money and get some stuff done..
I ordered a fill neck the 5/5. It was suppose to be 6-8 weeks. They havent response to my last 3 emails. Last one July 25th. Maybe they should stop taking orders. Don't believe any of that 6-8 weeks trash. Sounds like a ponzi scheme

This is what I am talking about. I don't know why people even entertain these guys anymore. I guess for the 7s I am only on here and have nothing to do with FB or any other SM platform. I am sure they look like ROTARY GODS out there. Until someone starts hammering them out there, this will continue. I have a couple of buddies that are getting screwed right now, and it just pisses me off. It is amazing how people can operate like this in today's society. Amazed at the entitlement some people.feel.
