This is a picture of the broken part. It is from my rear tire. To me it looks like it is designed to keep the wheel straignt but that is a guess.

I think that's the toe link. Also the trailing arm under it looks bent. Get both replaced, they're easily available used.

Ouch! What happened?
D-munny Clizzark is correct as usual. If you're looking got aftermarket replacements the ones from rx7.com are a decent choice:

You can also get in touch with Rotary Extreme, theirs are similar but include dust boots over the heim joints so in theory they'll last longer.

Except it was raining or a back road
I F'd up what can I say.
A local buddy upgraded to the rotary extreme pieces so he said I could have his stockers.
Too bad I mashed up my Work Meisters. This is going to cost a few bucks for a new rim

I do wonder though. Since it is a 3 piece rim and assuming I didn't warp the entire rim - I wonder if I can just get a new front lip.....
I think they were only $400 or so for the lip.
I will have to take it to a shop and see how the other pieces look.

Try sending it to a wheel repair place. That's easily fixable damage for a wheel repair shop to do. It's usually $100-150 a rim.
I'm sure there are wheel repair places in Canada, google it around.

After replacing the trailing arm, and toe link I took the car out for a drive. The car feels awful. It hits bumps hard, and makes a large thunk. Also the car makes a bit of a whining noise as well. It will get louder the faster you go.
The car definitely need an alignment! I can visually see a difference between the left and right tire. Do you guys think the hard hitting bumps could be attributed to the lack of an alignment or ???
Prior to my mishap the car was smooth as butter despite having original pillow *****....
Any suggestions?

thats shitty, esp. with the meisters....i think your wheel bearings have also taken a hit and you will have to replace them too. Id take the wheels off and have a better look in there. An alightment may help your toe.
As for the harsh handling, maybe check the coilover/strut. you may have bent the rod going inside the coilover/strut and its probably fubar'd the valving inside and it may be blown.
Such a shame, the car was mint before. Goodluck!

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked at the coilover quickly and it seemed straight and I didn't see any leaks. I will check closer though. The rim is a 3 piece and I ordered another barrel. It was only $240, so it could have been worse.

Is that the trailing arm underneath, it looks bent? I haven't been under the car in a while but, I know they are not supposed to be bent. The rim hurts to look at.
