I'm 18, and bought the car in May for $14000. Then put about $11000 into the car, paid for everything myself.

We had taken out a home equity loan to pay off credit cards. I also paid off my piano. When all was said and done, there was about $15K left over. The wife knew I had been eyeing this FD and she said "we've got enough left, why don't you call that guy and make him an offer on the RX-7?"

The rest is history. God I love my wife

And you probably weren’t yet legal in all 50 states when the ancient poll thread you resurrected was started.

In 2015 my RHD FD cost me the equivalent of two weeks work.
