Nice! Any pics of the condenser and dryer?

I'll be doing some custom stuff for the HKS V-mount I'm installing on a friends car so any AC help is appreciated .

Also, thanks for the translated manual!

How did everyone handle the fan wiring harness? Did you buy an extension kit or make some extensions yourselves?

Just made them -- cut the wires and soldered on longer wires, put some heat shrink tubing around the solder, and then put some cable conduit tubing around it and zip-tie up the ends

Thanks, Sonny. That's probably what I'll do.

Anyone have a pic of their power steering lines? Mine are really close to the swaybar and I'm wondering if I have it oriented correctly.

Yeah -- this is the only pic I found, but you're right that it's close to the swaybar

They are close, I put rubber padding on the swaybar to make sure they don't make metal to metal contact.

I have a racing beat sway bar brace so that power steering cooler tube that the kit came with didn't want to fit well so I went with this cooler .. sure it adds a bit of weight but I don't mind.

Next time i wont be buying anything other than natural aluminum tubing

Thanks again, Sonny. I just about copied your process exactly. For anyone doing this in the future, I made my extensions about 38" long, and that was a pretty good length. I probably had a bit too much slack on the closer fan and a bit too little on the far one. Maybe 36 and 40" extensions would have been better.

Did anyone else have issues with the hood rubbing on the intercooler piping? My stock hood had some slight rub. My RE Amemiya AD9 hood hits in the same location as well. Still looking, but believe I have clearance everywhere else.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. I really don't want to cut on the hood vent... but it is seeming like my only option.

No rubbing here, I have been running this setup for about 2 years now.

Sorry to revive an old thread. Looking at getting a Greddy V mount kit for my car, has anyone installed one with a mini battery in the engine bay? I want to avoid a relocation to the trunk

I relocated mine in the bin behind the drivers seat and added a kill switch. I was dreading the trunk, cause I think it looks like ***. I'm happy how that turned out.

Thanks for the reply. Is there space in the engine bay to have a micro battery though? I can see on the knight sports kit there is, not sure if the greddy intercooler is wider and doesn't allow for it though

Possibly. You may install the Greddy and then see your options and do some measuring. Maybe could make room.

Possibly on the air intake/filter side if you modified those.

I think there's room on the driver's frame rail but it's tight.

My Apexi front mount uses a Miata battery on a cut up stock battery tray. I do prefer having the battery under the hood, battery relocation is a hassle and more often than not is a huge pain in the ***.

The Miata batteries (like 90's Miata) are cheap and easy to get at most parts stores.

My buddy has an HKS V-mount and it uses a Honda Insight 12v battery which is also on the small side.

Sakebomb also has a new super tiny super light lithium battery kit. It's pricey but it's way nice and the battery is like 5 pounds or something.

I really want this Greddy Vmount Kit but "bending" the AC lines and battery relocation is holding me back. Here is another FD owner who was able to get his Greddy kit on without relocating his battery.

From the looks of it he changed his intake piping. I can't figure out what he exactly did to the intercooler pipings though besides mounting the intercooler closer to the middle versus what it was before which was a little more to the drivers side.

And here is how it is supposed to be routed originally.

Anyone have photos of air intakes on their single turbo? It doesn't seem like their is enough room to snake in an 'S' intake pipe. I know one of the Final Form guys has a 'S', but I think its because the thermostat housing he uses helps move the coolant line forward. Currently running a Spectre filter, but that's smashed in between the turbo and coolant line. Just wanted something their for any kind of debris.

I have the Greddy kit with a BW 8374 and useing a K&N RG-1001RD universal filter.
- Turbo inlet is 4" and i have a 45° silicon coupler going to a 4" long piece of straight aluminium pipe then a 90° coupler to a 2" piece of pipe with the filter on the other end (all held together with T-clamps originally until i lost a couple of them one of the times i was working in there)
- Turbo outlet is 2" i think and i have a 2" to 2.5" 90° coupler attached to a 15° (might be 30°) piece of aluminium pipe.
- filter baffle is .032 aluminium, to get the shape i just installed the filter with all the couplers how i wanted it then used cardboard and tape to fill the gaps i wanted to until it was somewhat the correct shape, cut it out with a couple little extra tabs/flanges, put a couple anchor nuts at the split so it could be opened without pulling the whole thing off and then put some foam door seal around the edges to prevent chaffing.
- i put the AST there as opposed to where the kit wants it for heat purposes and the shitty silicone water line failed on me after about a year so i replaced it with some heavier duty stuff and seems to be holding up nicely.

Good stuff, thanks for the post!

For anyone else reading this, a 45deg aluminum elbow will work if you have one laying around, but it will distort the 90deg couple coming off the turbo. Looks like 30deg is a much better option.

Looking cleannnnn.
How did you shift it all over to fit the battery in there?

Does anyone have pics of the 93 spec USDM configuration of the IC and hot side piping?
I'm curious how it differs from the 99 spec Efini configuration.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Should be just the crossover pipe. From a silicone/plastic coupler on the 93 to a gasket with studs and nuts on the 99

So it's routed the same way? Over the airpump instead of over the center of the engine?

The diagram of the 2 kits shows it routing the same way just has a different elbow on the end for the coupler instead of the flange.

Thanks for that. I wasn't able to find any diagrams for the 93 version...
