I ordered a V-mount from Sakebomb almost 2 years ago, and I am finally getting around to installing. I ordered a full kit, which I thought would have included the fan extension harness. It does not seem to have included, so I was wondering if anyone stocks these harnesses in the U.S. Negun and such carry them, but they come from Japan so there almost a 2 week lead time. I need to post a WTB for some other items I need, but I was hoping someone around here know a place that might stock these.

RHDJapan is the only place I've seen them. They are nice, but nothing you couldn't hack together. Or, you could extend your stock harness without too much trouble.
I installed an HKS V-mount on a friend's FD, we just bought the right gauge of wiring and extended all the wires with lots of solder and heat shrink. Only took like 30-45 minutes and turned out clean. Been working great too.
The plug-in harness makes it easy but you're adding 2 points of resistance to the circuit.

Dale, did you bring the car harness connectors to the radiator fan connectors, or vice versa? I feel like it would be better to cut and extend the radiator fan harness wiring.
My soldering skills aren't great, but I guess I could do this quicker than waiting 2-3 weeks for the extension harness to come in. Thanks!
I extended the wires for my HKS v mount. I extended the car harness wires to the fans. The fan side of the connectors mount to the fan shroud IIRC so it seemed to make sense to do it that way. Worst case I can cut and resolder them later, but I suppose if you want it to go back 100% stock one day getting some replacement fans with the connectors would be easier.
If understand it correct, this is the best available V-mount kit, that retain the most of the cars stock features (like AC) with minimal extra work (battery relocation is the only one?)?
You can even get by without re-locating the battery if you shift the IC over just a little bit.
Even better if you have a compact Odyssey battery. I already relocated mine to behind the passenger seat, though. I just ran a line, from the battery positive to a disconnect switch, to the stock positive terminal connector. I still have to put a terminal end on the stock negative connection and ground that to the chassis, though. I grounded at the battery location
I plan to extend the fan-side of the harness, as I don't want to mess with the engine bay harness - plus it's waaaaaaay easier to take the fans off and solder that way.

I've seen photos of this done, but haven't ready any descriptions of how... any idea how much work/how sketchy is this?
Is there enough play in the silicone connectors? And is the IC to radiator support mounting hole slotted already?
You'll have to get the battery in there to see how much the IC needs to be shift, but the coupler should be able to move slightly. Judging by the picture others have posted in this thread, looks like they have retained the original GReddy piping and coupler so my guess is it only needs to be shift slightly, if anything maybe swap the hot and cold IC pipe to get the orientation it needs.
@JP3 Motorsports I saw your instagram post and immediately thought of my question above!!
Read up on your website that you don't yet know if it will work with A/C... can anyone else tell me??
Specifically, a RHD '99 with AC and PS??

Going back through the thread, there are a few pictures of people with a/c installed. The drier occupies the space of the battery, so it would take some customizing. Modify lines to relocate drier, or change to a condenser with a drier built in (and then likely need custom lines as well). This would be the same for LHD or RHD, no matter the year.

Our test car doesn't run AC, so we can't say for certain that it will work.
That being said, there is a space in front of the battery, in the front corner. If you are able to get custom lines done, you could likely fit a dryer there. However, if you are going to go that route, why not explore running an RX8 condenser, which has a built in dryer.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
I'm installing the greddy vmount kit with the gt35r turbo and was wondering if anyone mounted the drier or battery on the passenger side? (my FD is LHD) I was planning on running flexible AC lines to the pass side and hook it up directly to the drier or connect the flexible lines to the hard lines that go to the drier.
OR
I run new positive and negative cable to the passenger side and custom make a battery tray for the battery to be mounted on the pass side. But since the turbo will be there i don't know if the heat from the turbo would affect the battery. The battery will be a close to the front as possible.
I have recently been running into my front relay box issue getting wet, thus causing problems associated with the TNS relay and the flip ups. I went with the Greddy V mount kit, and the shop relocated my front relay into the front bumper upside down like the picture below. The shop also misplaced my relay cover, and I only discovered it missing along with a couple of relays when I got the car back; and they swore they knew nothing about it, but that's for another story.
It was recently brought to my attention about needing to put caulking where the wires lead into the relay box. Has anyone ever performed this step, and what caulking did you use?? Thank you very much for your time.
FWIW, one of our customers sent us an update on his install of our battery kit. He was able to get the OEM drier to work with the space in front of the battery tray by bending the lines accordingly.
I'm a cardboard guy, but this is slick! JP3 stuff usually is, and I like everything I've purchased there. I would suggest putting the lip all the way around. This is one of those things I will buy, but only after I get some other stuff I really need first.
Does anyone know the dimensions of the 90 deg blue coolant hose going from the driver’s side of the radiator by the AC pulley? I’d like to order a black replacement but the blue hose is on the car right now so it’s hard to check.
