They're so cute sitting in the driveway together.
Seriously, Buick GN's did not start to seriously apprieciate until just recently . In the mid-90's a nice 87 GN was $5500. Now one in average condition is $12 to $15 K, a driver.
The FD will go up in value, we need to keep the price high when we sell them, that's all. After all, how else can you keep the riff-raff out of the hobby?

Yeah I like Supras too . I only have two complaints and they both regard weight, hence the reason I'm looking at FDs.
First, they're too heavy on the nose. On the road course when you're on the brakes hard, the rear end feels weightless. I can maintain control if I'm smooth, but I just don't enjoy it as much knowing how heavy the front end is.
Second, weight in general . The Supra weighs close to 3500 in stock trim. Mine weighs 3440, but that's not light enough. The RX-7 weighs 2700 for the base models and 2800 for the R's and tourers. It's still pretty heavy considering its relatively small appearance, and the fact that it has no back seats and next to no cargo room.
However, that doesn't bother me, because if you're gonna have a sportscar it shouldn't have the characteristics of a grocery-getting family wagon. Like the BMW M5. What a waste of space. Don't even get me started on the Porsche Cayenne, Dodge Magnum, or pretty much any truck that has its sights set on beating a car in the quarter...flippin sleds with engines that could light small cities.

Well you seem to have your stories a little mixed up. The 2JZ is about the strongest engine period, stock or built. It takes a little more money to pull big power becuase the parts are expensive, but it's really a question of "Do you want to pay the money up front and never have to worry about it again, or do you want to save money in the beginning and pay more in repairs because the engine can't handle it?"
No I'm not badmouthing RX-7s or anything else for that matter. I'm just saying that I've personally ridden in two stock-motored Supras, one producing 570 to the wheel and the other 750 to the wheel with zero signs of giving out. Let's not forget Peter Blach, who dyno'd 975 to the wheel with nothing done to the long block except cams and oversize valves.
Not that I personally care at all about making big HP numbers, because there's no place for much more than 500HP on the road course. It's just that I don't like it that you give me **** about my car when I've never met you.

I'm glad you were. I couldn't tell, but I know a lot of people don't like Supra owners. It's kind of frustrating because I don't even think owning a Ferrari or Lambo is worth having a cocky attitude, let alone an overbuilt 10 year old Jap sportscar.
I like it when I race a Mustang (out of all car owners I've gotten the worst attitudes out of Stang owners), and regardless of who wins or by how much we still pull over and BS for 20 minutes afterward.

No, I like Supras and what not(and yours is quite slick) - my wife would love to have one and so would I - though I will buy an FD first.
I also have a big heavy 6-cylinder turbo...a Grand National.(it weighs the same as your Toyota and can be built just as much on the stock block)

Well that's all I care about. I don't mind joking around and stuff but some guys were dropped too many times as a child and attempt to take it out on other people for driving a 92 MR2 or working at Subway or cutting their fingernails too short. Some people shouldn't be trusted to go to the bathroom without supervision.
