Driveline help PLEASE!!!!
I'm looking for a cause for this problem.
(Start of problem happened when shifting from 1st to second gear. Looked and found a cracked PPF!)
All of these things I am listing are occouring in low rpm's either in a straightaway or curve below 50mph.
1. Loud squealing noise coming from under car in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear w/ or w/o clutch engaged.
2. Terrible popping noise when cornering
3. can not accelerate above say 2 1/2k w/o the car obviously wanting to not go any further.
(posibly unrelated: found small amount of oily substance on green portion of axle coming from the boot)
I'm about to go snap a pic of the PPF.
TIA!!!

anyone? I think this problem goes beyond just a broken PPF because of the extra sound effects. I know for a fact that the transmission was 6 pumps low (out of a bulk tank of tranny oil) on oil. I had my syncro changed on my 5th gear a little while back at a shop. They forgot to tighten down the filler plug causing all of that fluid to leak out (not even hand tight!) I looked more under my car and noticed that the rear seal (that the driveshaft slips into) has a slight leak. Also my differential has been pulled recently for bushing replacement... probably the cause of the trace oil on the green part of the driveshaft... hmmm. Also my clutch still grabs fine but like I mentioned before... there is a whining noise coming from the tranny either way that I can definitly distiguish from usual clutch noise.
Any thoughts or ideas are welcome!
TIA,
Ryker
