drivelines

Are the drivelines different for the automatic and manual transmission first gens?

I need to figure out if I can keep my current driveline for my manual transmission conversion.

if your car is 79 to 83 the driveshafts are the same. if your car is 84, 85 the automatic tranny came with overdrive thus having a shorter driveshaft
