This is all good, besides needing the rebuild of course. I am looking fwd to the progress. Who will rebuild it? I still haven't been able to get this thing back on the dyno (with the 3kai) as it was booked solid.I will now install a fuel pressure guage and swap to the ID1700s and street tune again before I go.

I'm going to have Mo at Palm Tree Rotary rebuild it. - He does have a wait list though.

This is a few years out though since I have a deal with the wife to get a house first before I rebuild the engine. I just need the car to move for now so I can continue the build.

With FC Tweak, this thing runs solid. I want to throw it on a dyno now just to get numbers for the Stage 1 drop in's at 7psi once I get the cooling issue fixed (radiator operation under zero pressure).

In LA for ss24. I hooked with Daniel Kuo from Garage Life to get some numbers on the car.
DK said it was a little lean so he gave it a quick fuel tune for safety. Amazing results!!!!

At 12ish psi it made 292whp and 256wtq.
At 14ish psi it made 350whp and 312wtq!!!!!
Through the cat!!!!

BNR stage 1 drop ins on 99 manifold still in sequential mode and ported wastegate.

Engine has stock intake, street port exhaust
RP high flow cat
Excessive LIM
Stock 550 pri / ID2000 sec, RP fuel pump
HKS Racing Suction Intakes
Rotary Extreme Twin Track VM kit
Azeknight solenoid kit

Stock igniter, coils, and HKS Twin Power
Apexi PFC
We drove it on the street and DK said it felt like a 400whp single turbo !!!!

Noice !!!

Thanks bro. BNR says the turbos can do 25psi.
Maybe 18psi is possible 400whp with no cat, water injection, 3 bar map sensor, and built motor... With only the bnr stage 1 and only porting the wastegate. No crazy mods like non seq or porting the hell out of the exhaust manifold.

He just came out with them I thought they were just on back order or something due to parts shortage but they're still available right.

I bought everything for my build at the beginning of the pandemic when they were saying supply chains were going to be affected. Looks like it paid off.

Yeah. I'm kicking myself for not buying them. Parts have not been available for about 2 years now and no ETA last I checked.

There are some nice looking rebuilt twins in yahoo marketplace. But I have no idea what they actually did to them other than make them look nice again with minimal cracking

I wouldn’t go with those unless we know what they did, brand new N3G1 / N3C1 twins from Mazda Motorsport for $3,200-$3,400 are probably safer option.

They are actually only $500 more than a set of new N3G1 twins, not a bad option, but I wish there are more info / data on them.

Aren't these the HT12-3KAI's? Just rebranded by Revolution?

I'm not an expert at all. I think they have 2 versions. One is "high flow".

It's really hard to tell exactly what they are without being able to talk to them.

they offer the 280ps spec turbos, N3G1 or the high flow version

Revolution Online Catalog / FD3S??????????????choi-flow?

"High flow turbine for FD3S. Based on the stock 280hp turbine, the compressor wheel has been enlarged by about 10%. It can be installed with the same layout as the genuine one, and it is not rebuilt but a new supply from the turbine manufacturer, so there is no need to trade it in.
It is supplied by Hitachi, which manufactures turbines. We have stopped manufacturing turbines for the past few years, but since we have resumed manufacturing, we have been able to request production and supply.

We recommend computer settings for installation."

Would think they are 3KAI's based on the description at least, 10% bigger compressor wheels and "developed in conjunction with Hitachi"...

If that is pretty accurate that is wicked. 14psi is a nice number imo. Very good news to start the year off with.
